Well, you'll still need public liability regardless of the therapy as that covers you in case any member of the public has an issue with you or on your premises etc.
For EFT, it usually comes under Meridian Energy Therapies, or just Meridian Therapies, though different insurers may have different terms for it. I used to use Towergate when I was practicing on the public, though can't recall exactly what they put EFT under.

Oh, and while I remember, the key thing they need to know as an insurer is whether it's an invasive therapy e.g. acupuncture or non-invasive such as Reiki or EFT. EFT may come under "Talking therapy" as well.

Quick google suggests it could also be Energy Therapy or Energy Psychology...

As far as Towergate is concerned, they always put shamanic healing under 'non-contact' (probably the same as non-invasive), which I took to mean that they hadn't a clue what we did!

Hi Shirley,

I use a company called Holistic Insurance Services and find them very good. As they specialise in alternative therapy insurance they have categories for all different kinds of treatments and therapies. They are also not too expensive.
