What does Autumn mean to you?
pretty autumn colours, the smell of fallen leaves, cool crisp air, the end of 'something' .......
You're good with your questions Star:)...

Well if it does, I will be stunned, yes all good fun 🙂
Being an Autumn baby it's my favourite time of year.
The leaves on the trees turning beautiful shades of [COLOR="DarkOrange"]gold, [COLOR="Red"]red, [COLOR="DarkRed"]russet and [COLOR="Sienna"]bronze; walking in our local park looking for chestnuts; the slight nip in the air; the crisp feel to the day, especially when it's sunny and the sky is [COLOR="RoyalBlue"]blue; Hallowe'en and Bonfire night; homemade soups and stews; the extra hour in bed when the clocks go back........
Aaah I could go on! I love the Autumn!! 😀
crisp air, riot of colourful fona and a sweet sense of hibernation. I love the slowing down energy of autumn leading up to winter. There is something very gratifying about sorting fruit, veggies, berries for prolonged use by jamming and pickling and freezing.
There is a satsang going on at the moment, We all went picking berries, then we made a ton of jam! They take some of it when they leave. We have been Chopping wood ready for winter, collecting kindling wood. The feel of little animals, stashing away winter hoard... Nature will provide! Sorting manure for future use in spring
pickle, chutney, jam making. apple and blackberry pies.Lots of baking- Christmas cakes and Christmas puddings, put away to mature until Christmas.other than that root soups, hearty, cheesy foods comforting and deeply satisfying, long evenings, fire lit films, keeping warm.
Warm hearty, comforting foods with root vegetables, cheese....ah autumn is great.

Quite simply my favourite time of year Star99, 🙂
Star, autumn to me is buckling down in hibernation, lighting fires with the smell of them out in the crisp, evening air. Kicking leaves out walking the family dog and eating wholesome hearty food and getting excited about upcoming festivities.
With mods hat on...
I have done some pruning to salvage this thread and reopened it, can we now stick to the topic thank you.
