I am wondering why the number of new posts goes up, and down. One minute it says 102, the next its 75.
Does anyone know the reason why?

🙂 yes it is, thats the way I manage my viewings, as I pop on and off every day. I also go on quick links and mark forums read, then I know where I am up to when I next long on.

If you're referring to the figure in the top right of the page then yes, there are known issues with the information displayed here and it's something Admin are aware of and looking into.
The most accurate way at the present time is to click on "New Posts" and look at the bottom where it says something like: "Showing results 1 to 25 of 40"
