In summer I hang all my woollen clothes in the sun for a while, so that the moths and their eggs will disappear. I then enclose most of them in plastic with some southernwood or lavender twigs.
But quite a lots of woollies stay on the shelves, and in an open cupboard. After all, you never know when you might need them again, though it seems far-fetched right now ....
I just did all that last week, but yesterday saw another moth flying round the bedroom.
How often do you have to air the clothes? If that moth laid its eggs yesterday, when will I have to air them before they hatch, and start eating?

My mum always puts them away after washing, arising and put some pallets in to deter critters but I
Have Never worried about putting woolies away for a season....not seen any holes in my carelessly kept garments. Maybe that's just me lazy, careless and all that.

The trouble is they are hanging in the open, more or less. Never mind, I read up on it and it seems to take only four days before they hatch .... Actually, mine have usually been ok as well, maybe being careless and relaxed is a good idea. And lazy. Must try!

In India, My mom used to place phenyl balls in the cupboards. It cures smell and laid as well... so try this and tell me if it works.

You probably mean phenol balls - which I looked up and does not sound particularly healthy to me!
I will stick to my southernwood (of which I have a garden full), air a much as I can cope with and hope for the best.
