Hello everyone! So I was wondering if anyone could help me identify this stone. It was recently given to me by my mother and I'm not sure if she was 100% on the name.

To be honest, from the photo, it looks a bit like many quartz based pebbles you can pick up on a beach, with the non-white colouring just being imperfections caused by other things.

What did your mother say it was?

Its a very unique pebble, I don't think it is polished but looks like a nail art on it. I tried to search this image on Google image search and found just nails. You know pebbles have ability to blend into its environment. May be the use of pebble can give us exact answers.

What do you mean by 'pebbles have ability to blend into its environment'?

What does it feel like? Is it waxy or glassy? If you touch it to your teeth does it feel as if it would ring if you tapped it hard (don't though)
The rusty inclusions are from iron ore so it is probably Quartz,

A pebble blends into it's environment by being itself, but some pebbles stand out and have to be picked up and taken somewhere else. These hold special secrets.

Do you know for certain that this is what SandboxTherapy meant?

Looks like a rock, stone or earth pepple that has been tumbled...maybe?
