Which make and source would you recommend please?
Re. makes - I learnt that there are 2 kinds of lavendar, i.e. one variety is stimulating and one relaxing so you might want to take that on board.
It's the relaxing one. Which make and source would you (or anyone else here) recommend please?

Sorry I don't have any more knowledge on this other than what I shared. Perhaps others here may know.
A lot of my friends recommend and use Neals Yard
I always use Penny Price.

Lavandula angustifolia (used to be called Lavandula officinalis) is soothing and relaxing. Lavandula stoechas is circulatory and invigorating.
Don't confuse with Lavandin.
Expect to pay at least between £6 and £8 for 10ml. Any oil that is much cheaper will be cut with cheaper oils.

Hello Chris,
I get mine from Health Through Nature (UK site) Give them a try 🙂
It is for relaxing, so Lavandula angustifolia. Thank you very much for these ideas. So far, Neals Yard and Penny Price. Any others that anyone here can recommend from personal experience for genuine 100% pure lavender oil?

Which is somewhat of daylight robbery, considering when you do a distillation of Lavender, the ratio of oil to plant matter is quite high. We have several lavender bushes on our allotment, and from those we can produce a dozen 10ml bottles (each small bush will produce about 15-20ml oil). Keeps us going (for personal use) throughout the year.
Penny Price oils are from traceable sources as she works directly with the growers in France.

Thank you for that. Another endorsement for Penny Price. Any others for genuine 100% Lavandula angustifolia ?
Hello Chris...we have missed you presents..did you find you containers and sprayers?
Still working on that, but for the moment, just need to find pure 100% lavender oil (Lavandula angustifolia). Good to find recommendations for reputable sources. Any other recommendations?
Have a look at naturally thinking they are based in Croydon

Well, when it comes to Lavender, you'll find most that are "essential oils" will be 100% and not mixed. It's usually the more expensive oils, such as Rose etc. that get mixed with a base oil.
For us, it was about trying to ensure it was organic and, where feasible, locally sourced. Obviously some oils are going to be hard to find locally sourced just because of the nature of the plant and where it grows best. We do have a local Lavender farm to us (about 15 miles away) that produces it's own essential oils, however as we have our own distillation kit and allotment, it's easier, cheaper and generally more fun to be able to make our own, and we know it's organic, and can't really get any more local. Likewise we've been able to make Fennel oil, Mint oil (various varieties) and even done some Eucalyptus, though getting the oil out of that is almost like getting blood out of a stone; you get some, but the ratio is very small.
