Hello all,

Was just wondering if anyone had any good 'coincidence' stories?

Off the top of my head, I can only think of a couple of 'bumping into someone' stories. You hear about that one all the time, but it can be a bit weird, can't it?

A couple of times I bumped into my own brother out and about in London. We were both living in different parts of Essex at the time. The second time we happened to both be on Oxford Street at the same time - he could be working anywhere around the South East, he just happened to have a job in the West End whilst I was there buying specialist haberdashery bits and pieces. I saw him walking towards me and we saw each other and said 'What are you doing here?' I know the chances aren't miniscule, but to be in the same part of London, which neither of us spend much time in normally, and on the same day at the same time, on the same part of the same side of the road is a bit weird.

My best one was seeing a friend I hadn't seen for 13 years. I'd lost touch with him completely and I'd put a wish out there to see him again, then one day, we just passed each other on a random road... I can't tell you how happy we were to find each other again!

My stories aren't that extraordinary, I suppose. But there must be some really good coincidence stories out there. I love hearing about them.

Hope you've got some good stories!

Tiger.

I was wishing someone would give me some flowers last week, and yesterday a client who I have not seen for a year, arrived with some lovely Pinks for me

I have to say I really hate coincidences. I have troubles to not believe in faith and I have to always remind myself thigs are just coincidences. There is lot of coincidences, too much and they usually get me believe in something what actually happend only in my head...

Dont have any coincidence stories off the top of my head, but what a coincidence it would be if my lottery numbers just happened to come up tonight 😀

In a weird twist of fate, the copy of Nexus magazine that dropped on my doormat this afternoon has a feature on amazing coincidences in the Twilight Zone section!
How cool is that?!

Just yesterday, my friend sent me a job advertisement for a job I would really enjoy (writer for a website on money saving, which is one of my hobbies :P) because I had told her about a guy I like who works there, and she knows I also like bargains! However, I was thinking to myself, there's no way they would consider me, I have no experience in this website writing/conception!

Two hours later, my sister called me and asked me if I could work at her company for two weeks starting next week in... website writing!! THAT will give me just the experience I was looking for! 🙂 Now I won't feel so silly applying for the job.

Also, talking about randomly meeting people: I used to live in Guildford, Surrey, and my little sister came to visit from France. I went to pick her up at the Eurostar in London and a friend from uni (I hadn't seen him in a few years) came out of the same Eurostar! He was visiting London for the weekend with his girlfriend. Funny! 🙂

One of the best coincidences I've ever had was a number of years ago my brother came home to Wales from Gloucester for the weekend & brought a female friend. When she was introduced to my husband & I she commented that she used to work for someone in Street (Somerset) who had the same surname as us. It turned out she had worked for my husband's brother when he ran a newsagents there (he has now returned to Cardiff to live)!

By the way, coincidences always make me think of The Celestine Prophecies! 🙂
I think I try to make too much sense of them and take them as "signs" that I should or should not do something...

Oh another weird coincidence that I definitely took as a sign... About a year ago, I was queuing at the Virgin Atlantic counter in Heathrow to check in for my fligth to Thailand, where I was going to spend a month. I was feeling like a zombie, I was so tired with all the preparation! Anyway, the guy behind me says "nice boots", I looked down at my feet - I was wearing ugly walking shoes! I turned ans said 'sorry?', he repeated the same sentence, pointing at his own feet - he was wearing the exact same shoes! The funny thing is, mine were from Decathlon in France and they were from the men section because they had run out of my size in the female section (different style and colour) and my mum had suggested I try the men section! So it was a long stretch. We ended up having a coffee together before taking our respective flights, kept in touch, had a bried 'thing' before I realised I didn't really like him - I had been blinded by the coincidence and thought it had to mean something!!

About 12 years ago I moved into a new build on a brand new estate. After time the houses around me were occupied. On chatting with various neighbours I found my immediate neighbour, to my right, grew up in the same village I had moved from. The one on the left had his ex-wife and son living there and two up on the right also came from there! Different county to where the new houses were! Weird!
