I hardly watch television - only ‘Have I got news for you’, on Channel 1, together with my husband. When that finished, we took to watching ‘The last leg’ on Channel 4 - another excellent topical comic programme which apparently had been going on for years without our knowing.
Now that is finished too. We tried ‘Mock the week’ but found that very disappointing. Is there anything else we can watch weekly which is comic and preferably topical? It has to be on Freeview.
As usual, during the summer, TV choices become very poor, so all the good stuff like "Have I got news for you" or "QI" tend to go on a backburner until winter comes around again.
If you can do catch up TV, you could check out some of the comedy stuff on Channel 4, as they have an archive of most of the good series that have been on.
Wasn't keen on the QI I watched, but yes, I expect you're right. Better play a card game or laze/work in the garden of an evening!
DVDS?
Will ask hubbie whether he's got any. He's the brains here.
'Un spun with Matt Forde' starts on Dave on the 14th Sep
The last leg is very good. HIGNIFY and Mock the week are required viewing in our house.. The news quiz on Radio 4 is also good.
Yes we love the news quiz - the only radio programme I listen to (speaking only for myself). It's off the air for the summer though!
The Lat leg is back btw. It originally started during the 2012 paralympics but it was so popular they kept it going. It is back because of the upcoming Rio paralympics
