Saw this on the news, brilliant, I wished I had the energy to run across the road like she did never mind whack thugs with her bag, how old was she exactly? Bet her grandkids are well proud of her 😀
Not sure how old she was. Apparently she thought someone was being beaten up then when she realised it was a robbery just charged in anyway! Four of them, from London, have been arrested and they are looking for two more. Brave woman. 🙂
Respect to that woman! What's very interesting about this clip is that loads of people, who must have known what was going on, were just walking/driving past. Only when the woman intervened did several other people join in, chasing the crims and making at least one citizen's arrest.
This emphasises the crucial point, that both criminals and the agents of repressive governments are always small minorities, vastly outnumbered by the ordinary decent people who live in fear of them. The people of Egypt and Tunisia are the latest to rediscover this.
