Hi All,

I've thought since it happened that one of the most obvious cover-ups in recent times was that of the supposed 'suicide' of David Kelly. He's supposed to have taken 29 co-proxamol, but only the equivalent of one was found in his blood. He's supposed to have cut his wrist, but there are no prints on the blunt knife, only a small artery was cut, and there was almost no blood loss at all.

Lib-Dem MP Norman Baker has a new book seemingly proving beyond reasonable doubt that Kelly was assassinated. Baker stepped back from his front bench role a year ago to concentrate on his research. An MI6 informant allegedly has confirmed that it was 'a wet job', and there are two possible groups of culprits. Elements of the secret service plus the police may have been involved, as Kelly was likely to reveal even more about the 'dodgy dossier'. Or - there was apparently a group of anti-Saddam Iraqis keen for an invasion to go ahead. David Kelly is said to have been No. 5 on their 'hit list' to try to ensure an invasion.

The secret services and the police also are culpable even if Kelly was killed by Iraqis, as the suggestion is that they knew about the plot but failed to stop it - this being a motive for their cover-up. But anyway, it now seems likely that had David Kelly lived, he was going to go public with even more details.

Again, it looks like one of the most obvious and blatent cover-ups in recent years.

It's being serialised in the Mail, but starting yesterday, if that's your kind of rag.

I must admit that when a cover-up is so blatently obvious as this (and there are others) it does get to me. Thoughts such as, "How dare they mock us with something so obvious, and even have a slanted "public enquiry" "(Hutton Report), or that the population in general just goes along with it, without more activity (which I suppose is why 'they' do dare). But even when it's glaringly obvious, the issue is likely to be left alone, not re-opened. Wouldn't it be great if the first enquiry into matters like this actually tried to really find truth?

Here is where once again my memory lets me down with dates etc.!! I read a while after his assasination about a theory that he was killed because he was a top microbiologist(think that is right!) The article in the paper, Express, had a two page spread of the worlds top microbiologists, or similar, who had mysteriously died or been killed with no culprits found. It made chilling reading, these people were from all over the world and all nationalities. Quite why these people were murdered wasn't made clear as no one nationality stood out, it seemes their skills as scientist were the reason for their deaths. I can see the pictures now, men and women. Sorry I can't give more info.

Hi Serenwen,

Well, yes, this latest book or what I've read from it as extracts makes the point that there are many possible suspects for Kelly's death, as he was actually one of the world's top, foremost exposers of all types of weapons of mass destruction, and he'd exposed other nations in the past.

But it also goes on to point out that given the timing - his death, just in the very days when Iraq's WMDs or rather lack of them was being exposed, and that our Government were spinning the known facts into a fantasy - any assassination would almost certainly be linked to some aspect of that. Kelly was obviously a brave man, for he knew the risks and had actually said, "I'll probably be found dead in the wood". (The Hutton Report inexcusably used those words to a friend as evidence that he'd been planning a suicide, but in fact he'd been planning a return to Iraq and was working as normal from home on the day he died.)

(The members of the public who first found him also saw no knife, no bottle of water - supposedly to swill pills down - and said he was sitting up against a tree. The police 'found' a water bottle, a knife, and a prone body.)

I think the most worrying aspect of all is that we, 'Joe public' have little knowledge of what is going on in reality. Propaganda as a word bearly covers it. I wonder sometimes if anyone knows who all these mysterious men, and no doubt women too, are who instigate these murders and or disaperances. Whether or not they are one organisation or many reporting to different 'masters'. Think I've scared myself now!

Serenwen,

I think it should be the role of at least a few people, and a very few people have taken it on (not enough), to do exactly that. To try to get names, follow events, expose conspiracies, and in general allow Joe Public to be in the riding seat, and not conspiritiorial elites. It's not going fantastically well, but it's far from over and could be much worse. 🙂

The worrying thing is, that the public has mostly already forgotten DAvid Kelly now, having being reassured that it was suicide so nothing to worry about. If this had happened in a fictional book or film, they would have taken more trouble to really make it look like suicide. In real life they didn't even bother, because they knew the press and public would be easily satisfied with totally inadequate explanations. The paramedics were suspicious, and I would have more trust in their knowledge than that of anyone else concerned.

There is a long list of very strange events, which are all quickly forgotten by the vast majority of people.

I myself remember new years eve 1978, when the main story on the BBC TV news was a film, very clear, taken from a military aircrafy that had pursued a UFO over New Zealand. Even the BBC newsreader referred to it as "a craft". It was clearly a round, metallic, flying body. Next day, the usual unconvincing explantion was issued, and within days everyone had forgotten and gone back to sleep.

Here are a few more names you should remember, while we're at it-

Lockerbie Bombing
Kincora Boys Home
Mull of Kintyre Helicopter crash
Sir Anthony Blunt
Rudolph Hess

Check 'em out on line, there are many unanswered questions.

Goverments have a lot to hide, especially democratic governments. Dictators have less need for cover-ups, they can just do what they please quite openly, like Mugabe and the Burmese government, because they have no fear of losing the next election.

Most members of this forum were probably not even born when World War Two ended, yet there are files about WWII that are still kept locked away, and likely to remain so for many years into the future.

I think you've hit the nail on the head about how I feel. Do they really expect the public to fall for such shallow evidece that it was suicide, when all evidence says that it wasn't?

But the worst part is, yes, they do expect that the public will be lax on this ... and they were right! I don't know what to think of my fellow-citizens.

More Mysterious Findings

The move over the last twelve months calling for a proper coroner's report into the death of Dr. David Kelly grows apace. An article today brings out new evidence not known at the time of the original quick-fix called for by Blair, including:

* Geoff Hoon, defence secreaty at the time, at one point intended to give a speech on the Kelly death which, he said, would bring down the Blair goverernment. He later paid a visit to Kelly's widow.

* When Dr. Kelly had been reported missing, but no body found, Metropolitan Police cleared the house and stripped wallpaper off the walls of the sitting room. (Looking for or recovering bugs? What else would this be for?)

* Searching for Kelly in the night, a helicopter with heat-exposing scanning would have detected his still-living or newly dead body (still warm) where it was later found. It passed right over the spot but detected no body there. And the report is ambiguous about whether the place the body was found was in fact the actual place of death.

The Labour years were truly poisonous, particularly under Blair. Among the darkest days of our recent history. That's why I cannot understand why so many people continued to vote for them. It's one thing to support Labour ethos, but quite another to support a government that took us to largely unwanted conflicts and lied to us in order to do it.

From the moment they found his body, I always believed this was a cover-up, plain and simple, and it goes all the way to the top.

I hope they uncover the truth and assuming it is what many of us believe, the culprits will finally be brought to justice.

Edited to add: It makes me SO MAD.

And in the news again today:

[DLMURL] http://www.google.com/hostednews/ukpress/article/ALeqM5iSCe4YQm5lAgfKUn2jbSTS2skk5A [/DLMURL]

A friend claims his arm was too weak to cut steak, let alone his own wrist and that he hated swallowing pills, yet that was apparently part of his suicide plan.

I'm glad people are beginning to openly question this.
