Earth hour from 8.30 for one hour without electric - turn off your lights... play games by candlelight...dine by candlelight....whatever!

And then....one less hour in bed so don't forget to put Your clocks on - woohoo - lighter evenings!

🙂

I celebrated! As always I love it it's the best day of the year I'm soooooo happy I hate the winter and the dark I am hoping not to be here by the time the clocks go funny again.

Love

Rebecca

The daily routine activities are not to be forgotten and you don't forget what you have to do like playing games, watching TV, eating and whatever you like.

I was in Egypt and was impressed that the hotel sent round a letter informing us the previous day, that they would be switching all lights off (actually, they left the ones over the buffet on)

We were in the dining room when it went all dark and ate by candlelight, then moved into the lobby, where they had filled a central fountain (after turning off the water!) with candles, then had huge cathedral candles up the steps etc. The pianist was playing by candlelight - it was lovely! 🙂

Love and peace,

Judy

Jeannie, it started in Sydney Australia in 2007 as a stand against climate change. People and businesses switched off their lights for an hour and it has grown from there. www.earthhour.com

We held a candlelight earth healing meditation for earth hour. Lovely!
Noticed that a few of our neighbours switched off their lights too.

Principled, that sounds fab!

I forgot! About Earth Hour I mean and I have no excuse because I was reminded about it by a friend on here when she sent a link on Facebook that you just couldn't miss.
I don't know if I'm honest Jeannie, Spain would be ideal for the climate etc but I've sort of done it to death if you know what I mean, I might invite myself to visit Sunanda in India lol (don't tell her!) and if I like it which I think I might I may stay there.
The hotel scene sounds lovely Judy.

Love

Rebecca x
