Well, now I've heard it all! On the BBC news this morning - Denmark has banned Marmite and expats are threatening a campaign of civil disobedience in protest. 😮
Whatever next?

Let's stop buying their bacon! :040:

I stopped buying their factory farmed, water padded bacon years ago. English, outdoor raised, dry cured bacon is so much better 😉

Oh I know - never buy the stuff myself - have an organic pig farm nearby.
Happily, it appears that the story is not true.
Neither Marmite nor Vegemite and similar products have been banned by the Danish Food And Veterinary Administration. However, fortified foods with added vitamins, minerals or other substances can not be marketed in Denmark unless approved by Danish food authorities.

Thanks for that!
I've just checked the BBC site and they have updated it, but they reported earlier that inspectors visited a shop and told them to remove the Marmite from their shelves and back in 2004, some cereals were banned

Yes, BBC TV news were definitely telling this story yesterday, that Marmite was "banned". It was all Heath-Robinson, as on TV they were saying they couldn't confirm or go deeper into the story till today, since the Danish guy responsible for the ban decision "had the day off"!
So - no campaign, then? (Was looking forward to getting involved.)

Just had my marmite sandwiches for lunch. Yummmmm!
They'll never ban it in the UK!
