RE: Birth 'Abuse'

[:@]Wonder what she will spend the money on:eek:
Fags?? maybe later oxygen tanks?
I see so many mothers smoking around their babies, I find it disgusting, people are so much better informed now about the dangers of smoking and drinking when pregnant, I once reminded a young pregnant more than tipsygirl what she could be doing to her unborn
child, her reply? Ater removing ciggy from mouth.
Oh he's having a wonderfull time in there, anyway I don't believe all that rubbish.
What a cop out!!!!!It's just an excuse to carry on doing what they want to do regardless[:@]

Its terrible that mothers smoke during their gestation period. There should be a fine imposed.

[sm=scratchchin.gif]Guys it seems that it’s a private clinic – so why do we assume that the compensation would come from public funds?

Also, I don’t see such vitriol coming from everybody for example against expectant ‘modern’ mothers that continue to intake large quantities of caffeine… yet studies and reports suggest almost identical possible outcomes (I say possible, as all the smoking studies use terms like “may” and “could”).

But besides all that, if he really wanted to be such a smartass (coz she wouldn’t know smoking is bad … as all us smokers are too stupid to think or care right?) he would’ve been far more accurate to advise her not drive or ride in a car (especially not with her young male partner), never to eat nuts, avoid household appliances & sharp objects… in fact avoid the house altogether, stay a safe distance from any friends or family that have a tendency to get a little heated during discussions and ensure that she never entertains any suicidal thoughts…
…As these are far more likely to be a cause of her demise – should she in fact fall victim to the unlikely eventof being dead before her daughter is married or seriously involved with a partner!:)

I mean lets face it... yes it's not good for you or the baby... but he wasunder the patronising illusion that hisposition etitled him talk out of hisa*se and pass it off as potential fact!

Oh dear, we seem to be going "litigation crazy" like our American cousins. How she managed to receive such a payout is beyond me. So he was a straight-talking Anaesthetistand if anything, his remarks weretrying to help her see her future, and to nip out for a fag and hold upoperations, is unforgivable.

So she felt hurt by his remarks and developed severepost natal depression - believe me, it didn't take much for me to cry my eyes out those few weeks after my daughter was born[:-]

Love
