One of my teachers who has been around along time and studied with alot of famous teachers such as Masanaga was telling us how much Shiatsu has changed since those days and how they were doing energy work and structual correction like chiropractors and Hara work for more than just diagnosis. That they did not do so much meridian work until Masanaga made it popular. The reason that they dropped this other kind of work was because they were looking to be more acceptable to the medical community. Interesting, I would like to hear from some of the people who were practicing back in the day and if they saw such a change and what they think of it?

These things are still being taught where I learned (not all that long ago).
