Hi
I am currently studying Reiki Level II and our teacher focuses on 8 chakras as we work through the body. After the throat where we meditate on blue, we move to the 'transpersonal heart chakra' located in the upper chest, where we focus on the colour pink.
I can't seem to find anything about this chakra colour combination on the internet.
Anyone out there familiar with this?
Hiya
I have two thoughts on this.
Apparently there is a chakra in the place you describe which I know as the "higher heart" chakra, which because of the evolution of mankind is becoming stronger at the moment. However, I know it as being a sort of aquamarine/teal colour.
There is a school of thought that the heart chakra, which is usually known as green in accordance with the colours of the rainbow at this point, is changing in vibration at the same time, and the colour which is coming through is pink.
Anyone else?
Rose quartz
Have you searched on the healing properties of rose quartz?

Hiya Curranty Bun
It is my understanding that the upper heart chakra vibrates to pink, when we have developed the love of ourself, and the lower heart chakra vibrates to the green ray when we develop love to others.
I've been taught that the "higher heart" chakra or "thymus" mainly vibrates to turquoise colourwise. Although as we raise the frequency of our energies this will change. As part of our crystal year one we did a higher vibrational chakra layout - very interesting!
The chakra colours most people think of are the first level. Later on in one's development more chakras move down and the first 7 go downwards into the legs. The colours become more pastel as one develops more.
A lovely thing to do is to go into meditation with eyes closed, but sense of vision active. in this way you may see the chakra colours with the 'third eye'. However blockages in the chakras can cut off the spiritual light and one may see only blackness.
I got a lovely quote recently from Sai Baba 'If you develop love you don't need to develop anything else'.

Hi Christine
I'd come across the idea that our chakras descend into the earth when mankind's next incarnation is here, and that the Earth Star chakra is the crown chakra of our previous incarnation. Where did you find the concept that this descent happens as a result of our personal spiritual development?
Hiya
Firstly the Chakra's descending is mentioned in Diana Cooper's book 'Angel Inspiration' in the meditation and exercises section.
Secondly we also have a system of chakras known as the hara line, and that has chakras that are near to the kundalini system ones, but these are in a line that goes up the front of the body. This chakra system also starts with one in the earth, and one above the crown chakra.
Hi all
MAny thanks for all the replies....
The only pace I could find the two linked was this info on http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art17417.asp
To help open your heart chakra, try working with green stones such as jade or aventurine. To be kinder and more loving towards yourself try rose quartz or mangano calcite. See a beautiful pink flower opening at your heart. Rose and geranium essential oil can help here. This will help draw friendship and romance into your world.
Thanks again

I have experienced my higher heart or thymus chakra opening and although what I've read says it vibrates to turquoise, I see it as sparkling white/silver. 🙂 I agree with the heart chakra changing to pink... I always have that colour for it and never feel quite right naming it as green in guided meditations.
From what I have read, the thymus chakra is the result of the heart moving upwards and blending with its higher purpose.
