Hi all, just looking for peoples views on the following.
Usually when I teach Reiki level II, I work with my students on the symbols and mantras before the attunement. I get them drawing the symbols first. I am now thinking or guided to do the attunement after our introduction, recap on level I etc.I feel by doing grounding with them after the attunement and then practice with the form of the symbols etc.
I feel sometimes perhaps because they are connected with the symbols it would be more interesting, easier perhaps as some students find it easier to draw the symnols after the attunement , as if thet have done this before.
Whast do others think or do?

How many attunements do you give at Reiki II?
I recall my teacher going through the basic introductions, explaining about the symbols, but not us practicing them, then giving the first of two attunements and then we started practicing with them (the second attunement followed on the next day with further practice and tests to see how well we were remembering the symbols).

I give one attunement, yes, the second day would be lots of practice and lots of practicals,, not sure if I would even do the info on them until afterwards either.
I like to give students their level 2 attunement as early as possible, generally it is the first thing I do once we have addressed any level 1 issues. The reason I do the attunement so early in the course is because it changes the students' energy and brings them more in line with Reiki energy - this makes them more aware and more accepting of their healing gift. Also, students are more open and relaxed after the attunement which makes teaching easier for me.

Thanks Omega, thats exactly where Im guided to, relaxed yes and if needing grounding can do that first using symbols or other method
