psychic healing

Well there are various Healing forums, not just the Reiki and Energy Healing.
There's also the [url]Psychic & Paranormal - Healthypages Discussion Forums[/url] forum which probably fits ok.

Generally, when forums are requested, it's considered on the basis of whether there have been much discussion in that area that would justify another forum being created (and often we have people complaining that there are too many forums and it's confusing, hence things tend to be kept more open ended so there's usually one forum that will suit).

To be honest I've not come across that many Psychic Healing discussions in all the years I've been here, so I think one of the existing forums would be sufficient for such a discussion.

At the end of the day, it's up to the site admin as to whether a new forum is created or not, as it's his site and he has the power to do the creating.

I've been to that forum. Doesn't appeal to me. Even a little. I don't belong with "lost my expensive sunglasses".

I'm becoming something I don't recognize.

I heard a voice a few months ago and immediately got out of bed and wrote it down.

"The aura is the artform, change the artform and change the life."

Now I am an artist; my life is art so this is the way they choose to speak to me.

I am hoping to find others like me. They may not feel like they can speak freely. When I got into a battle here several people contacted me saying that they didn't post anymore because of the responses they got. Responses to conform to standards of reiki principles.

What I am learning is not new. Nothing is new. It's just new to us. New to me. I'm not a witch in that I am not wiccin. I don't see the dead, find things or see the future, so I'm not a psychic/medium. I'm just flying around (OMG, I can't believe I just said that) doing things, seeing things, providing comfort, protection and doing some kind of auric or chackra healings?

I'm not sure what is happening or where this will lead me; but I'd like to find like spirits. I believe that they are there. Bodhisattvas and lightworkers of a different variety.

Well, the forum is what people make of it, and psychic view (to find lost objects etc.) is part of psychic abilities. If people are not talking specifically about psychic healing in there then that's because people fit these discussions elsewhere (probably the [url]General Therapies - Healthypages Discussion Forums[/url] forum) if they want to talk about such things.

If you say you're not psychic then why the desire for a specific psychic healing forum?

I do know admin prefer not to create specific forums if there is no evidence of lots of discussions requiring it. That's one of the reasons we ended up with a Current Affairs forum, because people wanted to discuss such things and we were getting too many off-topic discussions in the health forums, and many people said they would like a place to discuss those sorts of things.

Sure, if you can find lots of discussions happening discussing psychic healing then there's a call for it and Admin will consider it, but if people choose not to discuss things, then that's their choice.

I'm afraid you misinterpreted what I said. I'm afraid you are missing my whole line of thought. But I don't see the purpose of you and I discussing this if it is decision for the administrator.

Thing is we are ALL psychic!! I have heard reiki described as a type of mediumship. . I only discovered reiki after life led me to a position where I had to accept psychic stuff was real, and I decided I needed to develop any psychic ability I had.

You talk about 'opening yourself up to the source' That is exactly what psychics do........

The purpose of me discussing it is because the admin seek the opinion of the moderators, as it's the moderators who frequent the forums mostly and know what is and what isn't discussed, though ultimately the admin make the decision as to whether it can be created. Me discussing it with you it to understand fully the purpose for your request and what evidence there may be to support the creation of a new forum.

As for why I, or other moderators, would care...well it's us moderators that have to moderate the extra forums and then manage posts that may be in to wrong forums and move them etc. so the more forums there are, the more complex it can become to determine where is the correct place for posts to be etc.

It isn't that we mind requests for new forums, or new forums being created where there's a good justification for it, but at the moment I'm not getting a good idea as to why the existing forums wouldn't suffice, and I think the admin would also say that we already have suitable forums that would include psychic healing, either considered as spiritual healing, psychic and paranormal, reiki and other energy healing, or just general healing (for when there's just an occasional need for such discussion).

It's quite common for new members (and I know you're not new - i'm just explaining) to join up and start requesting a forum for this therapy and that therapy just because it's not explicitly listed on the list of forums, before they've got a feel for posting here and the way people treat the categories in a more general manner (or sometimes they just want a forum to promote a therapy that they've created - but that's different). Fortunately you're not a new members, so that's why the engagement with you to try and understand what it is exactly you're after. 😉

Those things are not particularly explicit therapies, but can be achieved in various ways, hence they can fit into multiple forums e.g. (just doing a forum search on the terms, so some are just mentions, whilst others are explicit topics on them)...

Depending on your definition of "spirits", this might even come under shamanism.

I’d suggest not the Reiki forum, as this might well limit it to Reiki practitioners. If you want a wide range of views, why not ‘Spirituality’, or one of the ‘General …’ forums (…discussions, …faiths etc.?)
If it’s in a specific therapy or faith forum then I for one feel uncomfortable posting anything that is in disagreement with that therapy or faith. For example, I’d be happy to say that I don’t believe in ‘God’ on a general forum, but on the Christianity Forum it sounds as if I’m picking a fight!;)
This may be just me, of course.

I agree with Crowan, that the more 'general' forums are probably the best place, though I'd say that it's ok for a person to discuss things that oppose a particular faith or practice in those forum, as long as it's done in a constructive and friendly way that's on-topic for the discussion in question. I'm quite happy to talk on Christianity threads even though I don't believe in God, if I have a perspective that fits in with the general topic of the discussion.

Going back to Stephanie's original request, I think the Psychic and Paranormal forum is the ideal place to ask about or discuss psychic healing. Just because there's threads from people asking to find lost objects etc. doesn't mean that that forum is exclusively for those things, it just means there's no many people talking about psychic healing in there. As I said before, the forums are what people make of them, so by starting such a discussion inherently changes the current nature of that forum.

I know I am asking for too much. I just wanted a safe place. A place where the regulars on that forum wouldn't be offended by strange and bazaar and maybe even seemingly evil practices.

I don't want everything to be so hard. I'm basically not a confrontational person and would like to openly discuss these psychic distance healings, aura surgery and chakra manipulation.

Psychic therapy and healing on the different levels of the aura without people thinking this is crazy or sacrilegious.

Karmic healing, past lives healing. These subjects are debated on other forums. If they had their own forum they could be discussed and shared learning instead of debate.
