Hi
I'm a Reiki II practitioner and I had a client this week who suffers from Paget's disease. She is an elderly lady and she suffers from immense pain and it obviously causes her distress and she finds it hard to sleep and relax. The treatment helped to relax if not exactly take away the pain. What I'm wondering is, if she was treated by a Reiki master instead of me, do you think it would help more with the pain? Any ideas welcome.

Thanks
Carlax

Which pagets disease is it - as there are more than one!
I would imagine it is of the bone - Trust yourself and your reiki - it will be the right for the right as you know!

Hi Carla, I have copied a link to medicinenet: http://www.medicinenet.com/pagets_disease/article.htm#whatispd . This gives more detailed information about the condition. Do not worry about being a Reiki 2 rather than a master. What is important is how you channel and apply the energy. I will pm you some more details in a while. You will really be able to help this lady.

Hi
Sorry to bring this thread up again but I'm after some more advice if any one has any. I've treated my client now for 3 weeks (once a week) and she tells me that after her treatment last week, the pain in her leg was eased and much more bareable but only during the day. She said when she goes to bed to sleep the pain is still really strong and she finds it hard to sleep. Does anyone have any ideas about how I could help with the night pains, as I feel the reiki is working, due to the changes in the day, as well as during the treatment. I'd really like to help her because I like her but I'm not sure what to do. I followed Omega's kind advice last time which seems to have worked, but I'm not sure she'll carry on with the treatments if she doesn't feel some change at night. Can anyone think of any other therapies besides Reiki that may help?
Any ideas much appreciated
love
Carlax

Hiya

Two things come to mind:

Amitryptiline could help with her night time symptoms.

Also, does she sleep with her legs raised at all? This might help.

Hiya Carlayoda

When you do the next session, Use the HSZSN to program a treatment during the night, set the intention that when she rests that reiki will go to her leg and any other painful areas where and when it is needed. 🙂
