Is this connected with my Reiki?

In all probability you are passing Reiki to your case studies. One of my Reiki students is a reflexologist and when she does my feet both of us feel the Reiki flowing from her to me and back again it's a wierd but enjoyable experience for both of us...

Some people when attuned to Reiki bring into awareness latent psychic abilities after all this type of healing art along with other energy healing systems all have the side effect of bringing to the fore latent psychic abilities to different degrees.

Does your CD player have am alarm or clock on it? Do you have children? If so how old are they? Do you have major events happening in your life that are troubling you?

I ask these questions to eliminate some other possibilities for the CD truning itself on...

Many things can happen once we are attuned to Reiki.

As for seeing flashes of light, just to be on the safe side I would suggest that you get a checkup medically and via an optician as flashes of light can, in some cases, be an indication of certain medical conditions that need to be treated as promptly as possible.

aikijason, no I don't have children. The CD player does have a clock on it not sure about an alarm but we don't use them. I am not overly stressed about anything. Any more ideas?

I was wondering to get medically checked out, think I will.

I got attuned to Reiki 1 three weeks ago, and since then I've been getting flashes of light too. I think I'd better get checked out too though.

Possibly you are either not closing down your Reiki fully or you need to ground yourself better. Either of these are possible explanations.

Personally I have these lights. I welcome them as healing spirits. If you think you need to get physically checked out then do, otherwise, follow your instincts!

Of course if you are in good health it's more than likely your system is balancing to a new awareness gained through the Reiki practice!
(which is more likely the case in my opinion)

just to add, I have had these lights too, I was attuned to reiki 1 in 2002 and yes it started after that, I welocome them too, healing energy, spirit dashing past or what ever, I wouldn't worry but feel delightet to be able to see them, I find usually the colour of the flash is usually relevent to whats going on in that persons life, so like, orange usually means they are being creative and so on....BUT this is me and even if I dont worry and feel its no harm, if you feel you should be checked then do.
try to relax and enjoy the shows.:)

Have to agree with Stephen too! I still get lights when I am in Reiki and occasionally at other times too.

I believe that everyone is clairvoyant.

Yesterday I began re-reading one of my college books and a sentence resonated strongly with the way I have seen my own clairvoyance develop and that of others:

I believe that is very true not only with respect to its context in learning how to draw but in the way we perceive reality as well.

I had a feeling it may have been something to do with the Reiki (I know I am quite fit and healthy) I wanted to see if others had experienced the lights too, to make sure I was not seeing things. I do think of it as something special happening.

When I was attuned to 2nd degree, I started to get the same flashes of light...I considered the possibility that it was my eyes, but a detailed test said no, so I began interpreting them as spirit/other energies coming into my own electrical field. As time passed, I found out I was clairvoyant and clairsentient and now use my new-found abilities to great effect. 🙂

You've got the right attitude - enjoy, delight in the unexpected and don't limit yourself as to what it might mean... if anything! 😉

IME, there can be a number of reasons for seeing flashing lights:

* They can be the Reiki

* They could be fairies - this was offered to me as a possibility when I said I'd seen 'sparkles' dancing in the air at a sacred site

* If in the peripheral vision, they could simply be a sign of increasing spiritual awareness generally - this from Wa Na Nee Chee, Native American Indian spiritual healer and teacher

* In my case, if in peripheral vision, can be a forewarning of an impending migraine, thankfully rare, but usually if I've been trying to take on too much

* They can indicate a medical problem, in which case the advice given here to consult an optician is sound.
