Hello,
I am third degree Reiki channel. I practice Reiki daily.
I do following structured practice:
1. Crate shield with CKR
2. Meditation with Symbols (DKM,CKR,SHK,HSZSN)
3. Deep breath meditation: Inhaling with imaging Reiki flow from Crown to Hara. Holding breath and feeling energy bulid-up in Hara and Breath out with relaxing.
4. Balancing chakra's with Symbols
5. Sit some time in bliss.
The whole practice takes one hour and during the session I will be in good sensation and I can feel the energy shift.
But once I complete the session the pattern again changes and I feel drained or no much energy shift.
Please give suggestions or the correct me if I am not doing mistake.
Waiting for the reply!!!!
have great day,
chetu
Hi Chetu 🙂
In a way when you do a session and you meditate and such likes you will increase your vibration and with that in mind you will feel energised .
After I gave several healings at our local spiritualist church I felt so energised I felt like I could of run the 12 mile journey home .
If I had not of connected with a higher vibration perhaps at best all I could of managed is a low paced jog home .
It is difficult to maintain high levels of energy on a continual basis for many reasons but if your vibrational rate is pretty high naturally then one can maintain the energy levels that will reflect that .
My advice would just continue to work on your own energies and that way you perhaps wont feel the uppers and the downers quite as much .
At times however certain universal energies that work with the healer is so overwhelming because of the unity and the collectiveness attained it would be difficult to emulate such a vibration (yet absolutely possible) .

HI Chetu welcome to the forum.
Reading your post, it sounds like rather than healing yourself as a Reiki healer, you are going through a Reiki ritual, let me expand upon this a little and see if this helps you to gain a different perspective on what you are doing. 🙂
The main problem is that you are forgetting to do the most important thing when you are going through your structured daily practice, and that is to actively apply some healing to self, so that you can become healed. 😉
I am third degree Reiki channel. I practice Reiki daily.
No that understanding is not going to help you to become a Reiki healer, who has been taught how to practice the healing art that the Reiki healing modality makes available to its practitioners, you can practise what the modality can teach you to help you to learn how to heal the Reiki way, but the Reiki healing modality can do nothing on its own, it requires direction and application from the practitioner to make it function.
I do following structured practice:
1. Crate shield with CKR
It is not the function of CKR to create a shield, if you choose to create a shield then you will be shielding yourself from what you are trying to do, which is self heal, try opening yourself up to creating and applying healing to self through the CKR symbol. 🙂
2. Meditation with Symbols (DKM,CKR,SHK,HSZSN)
Can I suggest that in stead of meditating upon the symbols you actively apply healing through them to self to perform the self healing, thinking about the symbols does not do the same thing as activating them when you are healing, they are a tool to help you to be able to heal. 🙂
It is the same with any tool, if we have a drill and the right drill bit, then if we make proper use of it then we can drill a hole, but if we just think of the drill and the hole that it might make, then we will not end up with a hole, just a thought of what the hole could be if we applied ourself to make one. 😉
3. Deep breath meditation: Inhaling with imaging Reiki flow from Crown to Hara. Holding breath and feeling energy bulid-up in Hara and Breath out with relaxing.
Reiki is a healing modality, as a Reiki practitioner, you practice the Reiki way of healing utilising the preprogrammed symbols to focus your healing through, try switching your thinking from imagining the Reiki modality running through you and focus upon what you are trying to do, which is to actively heal yourself utilising the Reiki way of healing, which is to apply healing to self through the symbols. 🙂
4. Balancing chakra's with Symbols
The chakras have nothing to do with Reiki, the symbols are not programmed to work with the chakras, they will help you to maximise the power of your hara, but that is not a chakra, just focus upon healing yourself as a healer who utilises the Reiki healing method. 🙂
5. Sit some time in bliss.
Yes it is nice to be with the healing that we have just created for self, but it will feel different if you actually heal yourself firstly. 🙂
The whole practice takes one hour and during the session I will be in good sensation and I can feel the energy shift.

You need to set the focus upon self healing, if you wish to heal yourself using Reiki or any other type of healing, it is all well and good being mindful of healing flows and the feelings that we create within self when we are giving self me time, but that is not the same as healing, focus upon the healing that you are creating for self, not the pleasant sensations that you feel or the tools that you are utilising and this will change the results for you. 🙂
Hello Nice_1,
As you told its difficult to maintain the high energy level all the time. But I will be in good energy some days. Some days down. It may be because of Detox happening.
With Reiki, one thing improved in my approach towards things in life. Now I became more calm.
@@Hello Paul,
[Reading your post, it sounds like rather than healing yourself as a Reiki healer,...]
Now its clear that I am not healing myself, but just doing Reiki ritual.
[The main problem is that you are forgetting to do the most important thing...]
The only self healing I am doing is drawing symbols in air with hand, Chanting the names three times and then pushing them into Chakra's.
Do you suggest any other better method of Self healing?
[It is not the function of CKR to create a shield, if you choose to create...]
So, is it better to create the shield after the Self-healing session.
Also, on more thing is I am not using Reiki actively to heal others. Just using it for myself. I have some block where I feel still I am not ready for healing others.
Somewhere I also have feeling like I am not using full potential of Reiki and lacking direction in this.
Do you suggest some method to come out of these feelings and become free Reiki healer.
Thanks for giving light and direction,
chetu
Hi Chetu
Yes it would be like using a book to learn a set of forms to practice karate, you can go through the forms all day long, but they only come into their own when they are applied in the situation that they are used for. 🙂

That sounds more like the attunement procedure to me than healing, did you not get taught how to scan to find disruptions and heal them, did you not get shown how to self heal using Reiki?
So, is it better to create the shield after the Self-healing session.
What do you believe you are shielding yourself from?

Before you can actively utilise the Reiki healing modality to heal others, you need to learn how to heal self, this is how the modality is taught, I think all healing modalities are taught that way, the reality is that if we cannot heal self, then we will not be able to heal others, healing self is the first step, the next step is to apply that understanding to others. 🙂
Please read your manuals again to see how they show you to self heal, there are so many varieties of Reiki these days, that I do not know what you have been taught, so it is a little difficult to advise you, if you tell us what you have been taught then we might be able to clarify things for you. 🙂
Hi Chetu,
I am a master reiki practitoner /teacher also .Can I just say I feel Paul has given you some very sound advice 🙂
I was taught that intention is very important in reiki and I feel you need to focus on WHY you are doing things rather than on the actions themselves.
Love and light
Hi, you asked. You may not like the answers. Especially mine.
It is my understanding that Reiki is a healing art. It's purpose is to heal in service to others. The first thing taught is to heal yourself so you can be of service to others. And Reiki is an art form to heal others in service to the source, the creator and the world.
If you took a class in a class room? From a qualified master teacher? There should have been practice in self healing, healing another and maybe group healing and distance healing.
I have to agree; that you sound like you are giving yourself attunements, over and over.
You have great vocabulary but there is something missing. The purpose of Reiki and listening. This sounds horrible for me to say but it's like you are having a party with only one person...You.
I am sure I am missing something and being too harsh. May I suggest amazon dot com, sounds true or Hay house for books, dvds, cds to find your missing pieces. Just look and let something call to you. I just read a great little book by Douglas De Long "Ancient Teachings for beginners". It will blow your little Reiki world to pieces. Which is how it should be. Reiki is but a small part of your journey. If you are not comfortable with using it as a tool for service? Listen...something else will call to you.
Or if you feel ready? Just ask the universe. Open and recieve. Don't worry about all that ritual. Ritual is training wheels. Go for the gold. Ask, knock, recieve...be open...listen.
I don't understand. 3rd degree or master or master teacher should mean something.
Level one is for beginers: healing yourself and others.
Level two is more acomplished. You recieve some symbols and start to use symbols in preparation to do in person healings and in distance healing of others.
Level three is accomplished and knowledgeable in all the previous, and recieves all the symbols and the ability to teach and give attunements to others.
The symbols are implanted in your aura so over time you should be able to activate your hands, connect to the source and give healing energy without a lot of ritual.
You don't have to do Reiki for a living but its purpose is not for personal edification. And...I may be wrong

I was taught level one was for self healing and treating friends and family. Level 2 gives you 3 symbols , ethics, patient confidentiality etc so you are then able to set up a practice for the public.
Level 3 gives further symbols, greater insight and deepens your healing abilities plus enables you to teach and attune others.
Some people work with levels 1 and 2 for beginners (sometimes both taught over 1 weekend) and that to have your own practice you must be level 3.
If someone never moves beyond self healing then that is fine by me. But I do feel to attain level three you need to have experience of healing others .
Hello Paul,
You are really giving me deeper understanding of problem. Thank you. 🙂
I got manuals from my Reiki Master. In that its just explanation of the Symbols and Reiki Meditation with Symbols.
[That sounds more like the attunement procedure to me than healing, did you not get taught how to scan to find disruptions and heal them, did you not get shown how to self heal using Reiki?]
For self healing, My master told me to heal Chakra's with Symbols. He did not give any info on how to scan?

Can you please suggest any good manuals for using Reiki more effectively?
Hi Chetu
Ah yes, that is somewhat lacking in information and has additions that you will not need to work Reiki. 🙂
Looking at my manuals, the most comprehensive Reiki manual that I have was written by Taggart King - website link: Home but I am not altogether convinced that getting an updated manual without receiving the teaching that goes with it will give you what you need, learning to heal is not like learning to add 2 + 2 together to make 4, it requires more than head knowledge, it requires a change in the way we are.
But if you look at Taggarts website, then you can read through the articles and free resources that are available on the site and you might gain a better understanding of Reiki. 🙂
Hi Paul,
Thanks you again for the showing from where to look for more info.
I will go through Taggart King's website and follow some articles.
I will be in touch with you for more light and direction,
Chetu
As Paul says, there are a few "additions" in your teachings that are not strictly Reiki.

Chakras are a spiritual concept from India and, whilst we can certainly trace the origins of Buddhism in Japan, back to it's origins in China and before that India, there is no evidence that Usui sensei taught chakras as part of Reiki. That seems to be something that people have added into Reiki since it came to the West.
Likewise, Reiki Affirmations appear to be taking more modern affirmation techniques and combining that with Reiki, but (without knowing the exact details) it does sound very much like a non traditional add-in.
Reiki Meditation... I'm not sure of, as there are certainly various forms of meditation practiced in Reiki (not always called "meditation" though). If you could explain the content of the meditation, then perhaps we'd be able to tell if it's one of the traditional Reiki meditations or some modern variant.
I assume you were also taught the 5 Reiki precepts? You don't mention those, and they are an integral part of practicing Reiki.

I am following below technique,
1. Sit quietly in an upright position.
2. While breathing slowly, draw the power symbol in front of you. Visualize a white light coming from your fingers. Then picture the symbol in your third eye and say its name three times. Meditate on symbol for 5 mins. Then let the symbol float up above you into a bright light.
3. Repeat step 2 with SHK and HSZSN symbols.
4. You now have the healing power of the Reiki meditation. By concentrating on yourself or someone else, you can actually heal them. If you focus on a goal, Reiki meditation will help you achieve it.
5. Sit in bliss for some time.
6. After you are finished, quickly rub your hands together and relax.
Yes, they are also taught.

Ok, it's not the Reiki meditation I was thinking of. I though you may have been practicing Hatsu Rei Ho.
Not come across that particular meditation before. Have you actually had it explained to you what the purpose of each step of the meditation is for? I'm a little confused by step 4 "Now you have the healing power of the Reiki meditation. By concentrating on yourself of someone else, you can actually heal them". What's odd about this is the fact that you can use Reiki for healing without the meditation, though this statement seems to imply that you cannot actually heal without doing the meditation. That seems to suggest that this meditation has been created or adapted by someone based on their own ideas (i.e. another add-on), and it's certainly not one I recognise from all the different traditional Reiki practices I'm come across.
Yes, they are also taught.
That's good. These are an important part of Reiki, often overlooked by many 'practitioners' who seem more focused on treating others instead of themselves. Ensure you recite them daily and keep them in mind. (My personal preference is to recite them in Japanese with an awareness of the meaning of what I am reciting. It seems to have more depth to it in Japanese)
