What is the difference between reiki and quantum healing, and johrei or something like that.?
Thanks.
Hi MortalOne...
I have done a little searching and got you a few links where I believe the definition and methods are explained in a simple, clear and understandable way.
Johrei:-
Therapy definition : Johrei
Johrei
Johrei involves the channelling of a spiritual energy or Divine Light to purify ones spiritual body and awaken our divine nature. In Japanese, Johrei means 'purification of the spirit'.
Quantum healing:-
Sophie Lhoste Healing: What is Quantum Healing?
Quantum healing is a metaphysical claim that the mind can heal the body.
Meditation, visiolisation, positive thinking and Chakra clearing and alignment techniques.
Reiki:-
Introduction to Reiki Healing
Reiki is an ancient laying-on of hands healing technique that uses the life force energy to heal and balancing energies within our bodies. Reiki addresses physical, emotional, mental and spiritual imbalances.
Hope this helps for now until maybe actual practitioners of Johrei and Quantum healing may pop in and give more specific information.
Sorry to jump in on this thread but no one answered to my post earlier asking about the differences between bi-aura therapy and reiki? any thoughts on this? seems like there are lots of similar energy therapies? thanks
I think if you really want to know the differences between the different energy healing modalities, it's not just a case of looking at what they say they do, but rather looking at the history of the modality to see where and how it originates from.
With Reiki we have a fairly clear idea nowadays about it's origins and how it came about through Usui sensei, and how essentially it was an 'enlightenment' into knowing how to provide healing energy from the universal Ki energy rather than a personal Ki energy that would drain a person after time. The history of such healing goes back further though, and such studies into this can be read in books like "The Big Book of Reiki Symbols" etc.
Likewise with something like Sekhem/Sechiem etc. we know how this came about through Patrick Zeigler and his experience in the Great Pyramid in Egypt and the subsequent teachings he received. SEKHEM HISTORY
There are other 'original' systems too. Yet there are also systems that people have developed themselves, purporting to be 'original' but are really just re-hashes of things like Reiki, making claimes of 'more powerful' or 'better' etc. or adding more symbols that are taken from new age ideas etc. as if the ones in Reiki don't cover all needed aspects of healing.
So, I think if you look at the history, along with what the systems offer, and perhaps the wording used to promote the system (to see how much 'ego' is used) you can get a fair idea of how genuine and original a system is. Of course there's going to be some subjective viewpoint when doing that, but that's all part of learning and understanding these things.
All Love and Reiki Hugs
Thank you all for your answers.
