Has anybody experienced a painful discomfort in the ajna chakra. I have been experiencing this phenomena all my life (40 years). I would appreciate any feedback from anybody who has had experience of this or could offer me any help.:confused:
I would suggest that it needs some help in being activated. When I had this problem, I visualised the ajna centre spinning like a top. This clears the centre and it is then able to connect with the spiritual life force.
I had no idea what an ajra chakra is until reading this post. I found on wikipedia that it is at the third eye. Just a thought, but if you are having some kind of painful discomfort in your head for 40 years, could it be a physical problem that may even need medical attention?

Only some thoughts:
I first felt sensations on my fore head above the bridge of my nose a few years ago during a teaching given by the Dalai Lama. For me this experience was very much connected to combining very disciplined philosophical thinking with a recognition of the importance of maintaining unconditional compassion and kindness.
It seems that this is very much about a connection between having unconfused thinking which clearly recognises the power of an open loving heart and the reality of interconnectedness.
