RE: was it me?

hi sarah,

no no noooooooo.... a 1000 times no!!! it was not you at all.

a viable pregnancy is almost impossible to shift and whatever you did, would not alter what would have happened anyway.

of course you will feel bad, but you should not feel you are the cause. does your friend blame you?

there are any number of reasons that a miscarriage occurs and giving reflexology is not one of them.

i had a client today actually, just pregnant and a little nervy but after i explained to her that the main contraindication of reflex in early pregnancy is litigation, we went ahead. yes, i have done advanced training in maternity techniques and with that, i am fully confident to do treatments.

there is so much misinformation about holistic treatments, not helped by allopathic doctors knowing very little. my client quoted out of a book she is reading... "they say, you shouldnt have reflex in first 13 weeks"... well just who are "they"? understanding the A & P of pregnancy goes a long way to dispelling myths and fears...

help your friend now with the huge emotional upset she will be going through.

Oh poor you Sarah. I agree with Rosie here, that it was nothing you did. I'm afraid it's a sad fact that many pregnancies don't go to full term for one reason or another. I feel very sorry for your friend, and I'm sure you'll be there to support her during this sad time.

RE: was it me?

I agree with the others.. sometimes these things happen and distressing as it is, you can't blame yourself. Reflexology can assist with childbirth, but I have no experience of it used to induce miscarriage whether by accident or on purpose.

Thisbaby just wasn't due to enter this world...

Ihope that this doesn'tput you off treating her or any other pregnant women in the future as it would be a great loss, you have so, so much to give.
