ooh who are you doing crystal therapy with dennykp? I'm wondering if it's someone I know!

It isn't easy as Reiki Pixie - if you are going to look for a distance learning course you could search for one that has maybe a practical element requiring you to attend on occasional weekends. Or what about Beaumont College in Wells? Is that any nearer for you?

Hope you find something suitable:D

hi am doing my crystal healing training with Luciana Corps at the Living Tree centre in Barnstaple. This is an IGCT approved course and has been so good.

I did ICGT with Lauren D'Silva (she now has her own school). Have you met Sue & Simon yet? They are really lovely people!

yes I have they came and spent a morning with us a couple of months ago. We were looking at the subtle bodies and they have some really interesting thoughts, we talked about mental health issues and subtle bodies, as a nurse I'm interested and they have a completely different take on this stuff but it actually makes sense. Am loving the course though, sadly only 1 weekend to go for the end of my first year 😮 Just the case studies to get written up and handed in ...deep joy.

Please everyone, Its complementary with an EEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!

I think the IIR charges between £800 and £1100 for their courses. They're good too. If you want a good course and you want to be a good therapist I really think you should be prepared to pay the price. How else are we going to be recognised as professionals? Other complimentary therapists - accupuncturists, homeopaths etc pay a lot more for their courses. IMO you get what you pay for. I certainly wouldn't want to go to a newly qualified therapist who had had no supervised practical training. You're going to be asking people to pay quite a lot of money for a treatment and you're dealing with people's health here.

Hi Sulis,
Maybe you just made a typo, but its 'complementary with an 'e' not 'complimentary' with an 'i' which means something completely different. Its driving me nuts because I keep seeing therapists misspell/misunderstand the two, and we have enough trouble getting people to take reflexology seriously as it is (particularly in the medical profession!), if we can't get something as basic as that right it doesn't help our cause...

Quite right. These small things DO matter.

That, and the incorrect use of the apostrophe, are my bugbears too! 😀
