Calling all you maternity reflexologists! Whenever I've met babies whose mums have been reflexology clients of mine during their pregnancy, I've been struck by how happy and calm the babiesseem, and how friendly they are towards me (or maybe I've just got Midas touch haha). So the questions here are:

1. Do you think reflexology inpregnancy can contribute to having a chilled out baby?
2. Do maternity reflexology babies recognise their reflexologist in some way?

Or is this all wishful thinking on my part? 😀

RE: Maternity reflexology babies

I Think you are right Soibhan

I worked on my sister when she was pregnant with her two - and her children are very chilled and it helped my sister through her pregnancy.

I also have a lovely bond with the children but not sure if that is anything to do with the refelxology or not.!

I definately think the reflexology helped my sister when she was pregnant

RE: Maternity reflexology babies

hi siobhan

evidence, anecdotal or whatever, would seem to suggest that babies are calmer. could it be that the mum is calmer from having the reflex, afterall, we all know that our mood has an effect on baby.

as for recognising the reflexologist... hmmm... well who knows?! the main thing is, everyone is more happy, settled and calm! 😀

hiya
I find babies settle into a recognisable pattern during and after reflexology if the mum is used to having it...yes I also believe the babies recognise your voice etc (well mine seem to.)
