RE: Vitamin B17

You can purchase the apricot kernels (which contain B17) from the following UK website:

Most experts will recommend a daily dose of apricot kernels from between 24 kernels a day up to 40 kernels a day, spread out over over the day.

or here taken in tablet form:

RE: Vitamin B17

I was looking into this until I found they contain arsenic which I am not sure if its accumulative over time.

RE: Vitamin B17

I started taking arsenicum (an arsenic derivative) about 18 months ago for cancer along with sulphur. Haven't noticed any ill effects thus far. It was givin to me by an MD in holistic medicine. It has been used for years in Chinese medicine.

nadine,

Your post prompted me to look but I'm not sure.

I looked on the worldwideshoppingmall where I know they have a lot of these things (they're good for stocking vegetarian versions that you don't get in Holland and Barrett) but their description only goes from B1 to B15 without any mention of B17.

Although a search on Wikipedia comes up with B17 being another name for "Laetrile":
although according to that entry on Wiki it isn't actually a vitamin so it's a bit of a false name really.

Love and Reiki Hugs

The way I see it is , if the US FDA says it's bad for you it MUST BE GOOD!!!!!!, for the simple reason that they are out to protect the interests of their pharmaceutical buddies who don't give a ratz rear about anyone's health or well-being. Rumor has it that that the FDA has people with pharmaceutical ties among their membership-they don't have any alterior motives, do they???

Vitamin B17

Hi Nadine,

Vitamin B17 is linked to cancer treatment - I did have a look at this some years ago now and, as kcat says, it works for him. As it is an arsenic derivative, I found it did some crazy things to my blood counts so I stopped using it.

Hi,

i have found your post by google. I am very interested in topics about vitamine B17 or (amigdalina, amygdalina, laetrile, letril - other names). I am interested in purchase but in europe it is hard to get it.

yes that's true that B17 contains arsenic but if you read more about it you will now that isn't as bad as we think.. :

"A doctor from the U.S. FDA once said that Laetrile contains "free" hydrogen cyanide and, thus, is toxic. I would like to correct that misconception:
There is no "free" hydrogen cyanide in Laetrile. When Laetrile comes in contact with the enzyme beta-glucosidase, the Laetrile is broken down to form two molecules of glucose, one molecule of benzaldehyde and one molecule of hydrogen cyanide (HCN). Within the body, the cancer cell-and only the cancer cell-contains that enzyme. The key word here is that the HCN must be FORMED. It is not floating around freely in the Laetrile and then released. It must be manufactured. The enzyme beta glucosidase, and only that enzyme, is capable of manufacturing the HCN from Laetrile. If there are no cancer cells in the body, there is no beta-glucosidase. If there is no beta-glucosidase, no HCN will be formed from the Laetrile (1).
Laetrile does contain the cyanide radical (CN). This same cyanide radical is contained in Vitamin B12, and in berries such as blackberries, blueberries and strawberries. You never hear of anyone getting cyanide poisoning from 12 or any of the above-mentioned berries, because they do not. The cyanide radical (CW) and hydrogen cyanide (HCN) are two completely different compounds, just as pure sodium (Na+) - one of the most toxic substances known to mankind - and sodium chloride (NaCl), which is table salt, are two completely different compounds.
If the above is true, how did the story ever get started that Laetrile contains "free" hydrogen cyanide? It was the Food and Drug Administration." ( quote was taken from - you can read there many more interesting things about B17)

have a good day,

Danny

ps. i come from Poland so be indulgent about my english..

I agree with Rosi. The best source is apricot kernals. You can also purchase them from this UK website: .

When fresh apricots are in season, I always break open the seed and eat the kernal inside.

You can get an excellent DVD 'World Without Cancer - The Story Of Laetrile' on eBay...Well worth a look.
Also, Google 'interview with Ralph Moss'... Stunning.
