Having just purchased a Selenite point a would like some advice on the best way to cleanse it. I know that you are not supposed to use water, I read that someone uses organic brown rice to cleanse theirs?
Just wondered what everyone else does with their Selenite. Also I would love to hear about your experiences of using this stone.

I haven't used mine for some time, but it is one of my favourites....very delicate...
your could try cleansing with white sage..
You could also cleanse under Moonbeams, best to wait till the next full moon on 2nd November put it on a windowledge if you have one, on the night of the full moon. The name comes from Selene, the Greek Goddess of the Moon, so it has a natural affinity with lunar qualities.

Visualization can be useful where water cant be used. The picture is less important than your clarity and intent (Where thought goes energy follows) fill the Selenite with bright light, visualise water rushing through the stone or fire burning away all impurities, or imagine the crystal as an animal shaking water off its fur after swimming. Use your breath to heighten the process. Take a deep breath, while imagining white light coming into your crown Chakra, fill your lungs, as a silent prayer (I intend this crystal to be cleansed) and then forcefully blow over the crystal. As you do this, imagine all negativity clearing away from the stone. Repeat this until you feel it has worked.

Thanks for posting, I've used selenite before. I've found it to be helpful. What I normally do is I just ask in my mind that this stone be cleansed and then that's about all.
