Every time I buy a rose Quartz pendulum, it breaks in 3 -4 days, I do the cleansing after the purchase but it doesnt help. I have even gone with the intention of buying pendulum of any other crystal than rose quartz but end up buying rose quartz. Can some one tell me what I am doing wrong?

Maybe someone is trying to tell you that rose quartz is not for you

How are you cleansing your pendulum? Perhaps you need to wear some rose quartz aswell. Does it break at the tip?

My initial thoughts are much the same as thehermit's that maybe rose quartz isn't for you. I was always drawn to amethyst pendulums but could never get anything from them then picked up a clear quartz cut to double point with a number of sides and it was a "revelation". I had previously thought I was doing something wrong or just no good at pendulum dowsing, now I am extremely comfortable and get very accurate responses from my pendulum.

I have the same problem and it would break at the tip,It only happened when I was referring to my daughter.So I have stopped and my daughter understands.I am going to purchase a different one for her.Does this sound familiar to you or does it break in general?:confused:
I had this happen with me several times, but with wands. They broke, and shatterd, or go missing:confused:
So ehere is where I am able to help. All crystals are are extensions of energy, but they are also living breathing too. So with rose quartz being connected with selfless love, sensuality and trust in those specific areas, then I believe you may have a block/insecurity to do with reciving and accepting love, with trust.
It was only when I realised this ans started healing, and accepting that area of my self, did the relationship between rose quarts and my self become clearer, magnified and stronger:D

Only silly question is one you didn't ask and are still wondering about!
I meant that something like a tumble stone or a rose quartz rock would be stronger than a pendulum just because of the shape.
I would say too that the rose quartz pendulum isn't for you. I know of others who have purchaes pendulums over and over again and have lost them every time until buying a different crystal.
Some crystals just don't work well with us. I can't work with amerthyst or dark crystals such as tree or moss agate or tourmaline as they are not accurate for me.

I am a real novice when it comes to crystals so please excuse me. I have just rediscovered my amerthyst wand which i've had for a couple of years and it's been fine - really good for headaches - but got buried in amongst other stuff while I moved house a couple of times. Yesterday it broke in two which seemed strange till reading this thread. Am I still able to use the two pieces?

My personal advice to you here would be, go upon your gut feeling. Does the break effect the energy of the crystal and your connection?
If not then all well and good
You can get some natural glue, from most hobby/craft stores, that drys clear and does not tamper with the crystal (so to speak) The life force, of any crystal is not within it, but out side it.
Maybe contemplate upon it and see what you get/feel:D
Thanks Itharial that's really helpful. I think I will keep using it because it's so beautiful and I was really happy when I came across it again. Will keep a look out for the glue you mention.
How do you mean the life force is not within the crystal - isn't it the reason why people use crystals because they have energy? Sorry that sounds dumb.
Its rather a:eek: experience when we contemplate on just how many crystals there are. If we were to look at the fact that when a crystal breaks as yours has done, and nothing can be salvaged (THE END) no energy nada.then what a waste.
Crystals are connected to the devic, elemental realms, others are connected to angelic, and intergalactic energies(off topic never mind a deep one)
Simply because a crystal breaks or chips does not mean to say there entity(coresponding, celestial being) is dead. Though I do admit what some treatments do to crystals, does in fact leave the crystals life less (radiation/radiated quartz etc)
When we find a crystal that is broken and we do not feel anything AT ALL no tingling sensation, no glow, no fire woks haha then that means the energy has moved on else where..even to another crystal, which can be some where in and around your house!

Crystals are living and breathing, come to think of it we are crstaline beings too, we are made up of water:D
