I recently had 3 treatments of Bowen and I am so impressed! In just that short time she has corrected my lopsidedness, realigned my pelvis, removed pain in left shoulder and possible carpal tunnel syndrome in left wrist. I gained more from just 3 treatments of Bowen than I have in 2 years of seeinga chiropractor.
I'm can't praise Bowen enough and have been telling all my friends. I'm so impressed that I am seriously considering learning the technique myself.

RE: Bowen - very impressed!
Great to hear that you're so impressed. It is an amazing technique to receive and to give. After three years of practice I still find that I have that jaw dropping reaction when my clients get such brilliant results and in so short a time.
If you need any advice about training yourself do p.m. me.
PS where are you based??
Cheers

RE: Bowen - very impressed!
That's really interesting. I'm a bit bemused since last year I had three Bowen treatments for a badly trapped nerve. I could tell that the therapist was very experienced, but after three pretty expensive treatments with simply no results at all, I switched to something else. (The pain was too bad to wait.) I wondered if Bowen was a bit wo-woo, you know. If it isn't I wonder how results vary so much? In the end a free NHS phsio was the best help I got.

Hi Venetian
Sorry to hear this, I thought they pay the costs back via the NHS these days for Bowen in the UK? Possibly not. I am flying to Edinburgh to start the Bowen Technique course tomorrow as I have had wonderful results and after our car accident in February with the children, the results were great and the boys recovery were amazing, especially my 4 year as his spine was so tight on the first visit and better within a week after. Had a couple of treatments and everyone seemed to be back to normal.

Hi Julie,
I'm not aware that Bowen is any different to any other private treatment you pay for yourself. I'm sure the therapist would have mentioned it to me?
Enjoy the course! 🙂

I think if you get referred by your local GP, it could be. Thank you I will, a chance to see the family again too. 2 birds and a stone thingy-me-jig !!!!

I see. But it might be unlikely, depending on the GP of course. I doubt most of them have even heard of it. Does that apply to other therapies such as osteopathy, etc? In practicea GP seems to refer you to an NHS physio.
(Is the course in Edinburgh? A great place - I once lived there for two years.)

Hi Venetian
Yes it was in Edinburgh, my home town ! Had a great time, learned loads and applied some already since being back on Wednesday night. First up, my hubby, before he headed off to Iceland yesterday.
Trying to catch up on some sleep now I am back as every night I was out dining with family etc, late nights and early rises to go to the course has taken it's toll. My youngest thought it appropriate to get me up at 5.30am this morning and play, much to my annoyance should I say.
Anyway, it's a fabulous course and the results are fantastic ! Looking forward to my next section of the course in September.
Hugs
