RE: Symbols

We have an elder tree in the garden and have made some from that, and they hang from windows, but it is a difficult wood to work, hollow and brittle. However we found some windfall branches lying around, no idea what wood, and made a smashing little one which I keep here in my office, it was just a hedgerow tree.

RE: Symbols

What are you looking for protection from?
The normal pentagram in its circle made of silver which has been consecrated and you have around your neck is usualy enough. I suppose if things get drastic you can use seals which you draw on parchment. You'll find some in " The Lesser Key of Solomon" Thebest protection of all though is your ownwill, which is not to be confused with arrogance or ego and faith in your deity to look after you.
Mind you, this is just one opinion of many and I'm sure there are others equally valid.
