Holiday idea
Hi Ms Moomin
As it's a few weeks since you posted your thread, I'm hoping you are some way towards feeling a little better.
In case you hadn't yet found a holiday, I thought you may be interested to know of a yoga holiday that I am teaching in Spain in July. The dates are 10-17 July 2010 and the cost is £450 for a single room (no single supplement payable, excluding flights and transfers). The purpose built retreat centre is in the mountains near Malaga and takes only 10 people, so it is sure to be peaceful and relaxing. I will be teaching two classes a day. For full details please see my website www.one-yoga.co.uk.
I myself have been through hard times and know how awful it feels to be at one's lowest. The advice given to you already by others about surrounding yourself with friends and accepting their help and nurturing, is good advice indeed. And of course taking some time out by having a relaxing holiday is a great idea. Above all else, be kind to yourself.
I trust that you will find your way back to happiness, but it just takes time.
Best wishes to you x
Update
Hi all,
Thank you for your support. I have booked a week at a holistic retreat for 495 Euros - it is not yoga specific but seemed like a nice place for me to go and relax. It is a villa run by a British couple in Lanzarote.
Anyone heard of this break?
It is B&B so I will have to go out to eat for lunch and dinner and that is going to cost me! 🙁 They are also charging 30 Euros per yoga class and 70 for massage and/counselling so it may be more than I wanted to pay, but I was feeling particularly down yesterday so just went ahead and booked it.
I have been very unhappy in my job and it drains me of all energy, and I am still carrying baggage around from other problems. I don't know what to tell my employer, as I don't want to get sacked. I also need to earn money to do the things I want to do: i.e. travel and maybe work abroad. I feel trapped and like my life has not been going anywhere. But at least I am trying to help myself.
I wanted to save my money but I am going to try a holistic break, because I am so very burntout.
Some days it is so bad I can't move, like today I couldn't get out of bed and called in sick.
There were spa breaks in the UK but seemed more geared towards day visits or overnight, and I wanted a longer break.
Wish me luck!
Hi Miss m
glad you have finally managed to get somewhere it sounds fab and just what you need to get away and have a lovley time pamering and looking after yourself. Perhaps then when you get back you will feel more able to take a bit of contol over you situation at home. perhaps make a few plans a few things to work towards ie new job, letting go of the negative relationship that has been holding you back. I have a great feeling about this M and defo think you are going to have a real turn around for you. Have a wonderful wonderful holiday and come back relaxed refreshed and rareing to go :)x (0):D
holistic retreat
Hi Miss M
Not sure if you have been or are going on your holistic holiday, hope you have a fab time. Because of the costs for the sessions perhaps an idea would be to take a class in Yoga to learn some moves and then perhaps you can practice them on the beach, in a park (I can't advise anything on yoga as its not somethig I am able to do), you could search the internet as I am sure there would be a lot of info about yoga and perhaps some members on this forum can point you in the right direction or give advice (you might need to put your question in a different forum within hp)
I think some priors offer retreat weekend breaks, I do not know which area you are in, but in Kent there is Aylesford Priory
I visited there years ago, not for a retreat but I was in the area, its a very peaceful place.
