I guess it does. But it doesn't follow easily from what was previously written - unless I'm missing a point you are making.
I don't know why you see aggression in what I write. And really, although I would rather you didn't, that isn't my problem. But I do find many of your posts interesting and thought provoking. That is why I ask questions of you.
Partly I think that words like "spirituality" mean different things to you and to me - and I'd be interested in following that up, although possibly on a different thread. I suspect that even if we understood each other's meaning, we would disagree (and that is the life-blood of discussion).
In other areas - politics, for example - we seem to agree more (at least on the personalities of Margaret Thatcher and of Tony Benn). I don't think we've discussed the environment, have we?

True we haven't discussed the environment. I ran a local group of Friends of the Earth (and helped out at H.O). I admire Greenpeace more though since they take environmental action to the next level. Alas, I am too old to be doing such enterprising endeavours but they inspire me. How about yourself, environmentally speaking?

I work mainly on reducing my own ecological footprint - although I get involved (and have got involved for many years) with causes where I think I can make a difference. This mainly, these days, means putting pen to paper (or finger to keyboard) but has meant demonstrations in the past.

I guess the three - spirituality, politics and the environment - blend for me. I wouldn't know where to start disentangling them. As you know, I teach shamanism. Within that, I teach that our spirituality grows from the land (as it must do with all shamanism, surely?) and that - to quote Alice Walker - "Activism is the rent for living on the Earth".

I ran a course last month, "Being the Change" (that you want to see, of course).

Hello Amy & Crowan,

I joined Greenpeace in 2007. Although I have never joined in with any of the activities like boarding a whaler, etc I do my bit for them by leafleting and holding stalls at fairs, etc.

The environment is so precious, including all flora and fauna - land, marine and sky. Thank goodness we have groups of people who are prepared to stand up and say, 'We can't take any more of this environmental damage' and they get on and make waves.

Patsy.
