Hi all,
New to this forum, but delighted to have found it!
Currently studying VTCT Level 3 Sports Massage and have my first class assessment next week. Really feeling thrown in at the deep end as none of us in the class are feeling confident!
Anyway,i'd be really grateful if anyone can help out with case study notes, what to include, advice ,etc.
Also any pointers for a good aftercare advice sheet to give to clients whilst i am training.
So far,i feel dissapointed with the course, hope it will be worth it in the end, hoping to go on and do the Level 5 in Sept which costs mega bucks.
Fingers crossed, things will gat better and fall into place.
Any advice will be much appreciated.
Thankyou:)
Regarding case studies - the best thing to do is ask your school/tutor to provide you with some previous examples from former students. It helps no end to see what topics others chose, how they set them out etc. When I studied at Essentials for Health examples were set out on a desk, along with loads of excellent reference books, for us to peruse during lunch breaks right from the very first day.
It can seem very daunting - I remember feeling out of my depth too - but a good tutor, without spoonfeeding you, will give you lots of advice and motivation. We were told - from the outset - ITS ALL IN THE DOING. Don't wait until you feel confident to start your case studies, as you have to start them in order to build up confidence. The people who get in the most practise are the one's who do well in exams. We were told to do over and above the required number of case studies.
Good luck and let us know how you get on.
:)Thankyou Melanie,
The assessment well quite well, although i need to have more confidence in myself!
It is unfortunate that our tutor is very young and has not taught before,so has not offered any help with case studies.I will ask other students if they are willing to very kindly shed some light my way.
I realise it is better to just get on with it than sit worrying not doing anything and being afraid to start.
Watch this space...

If you have level 3 you can do a bridging course to upgrade to level 5. Doesn't cost quite so much as doing the whole level 5 course.
Do you also need to do a project to get your qualification?
