Hi
Bodytalk is probably most closely related to kinesiology and perhaps asking for more info in the kinesiology section might bring some replies from people who have done the course.
I know a number of kinesiologists who have done some training in bodytalk as continuing professional development and will see if I can get them to post some information for you.
Hi Ruthie
Sorry for the late reply, I've only just seen this. As KinFed says, there are some similiarities between Bodytalk and kinesiology. We use a kind of muscle testing though unlike in kinesiology, the client does not resist. Bodytalk is based on a number of health modalities including kinesiology, Traditional Chinese medicine, Ayurveda, osteopathy and chiropractic, western medicine and even quantum physics. The guy who developed it wanted to bring together the best of these approaches to healthcare.
There is a long protocol of questioning that the practitioner goes through (silently) to establish what the health priorities are and then depending on what comes up, the "treatment" to restore "balance" usually consists of tapping on the head and chest while holding certain points on the body, though there are a number of other techniques used too.
This is a very simplified explanation for something that is actually very complex (though not for the client). The Bodytalk Association has a website www.bodytalksystem.com
If you have other questions do ask.

Isn't that the title of a song - let me hear your bodytalk?
