Just wondered if anyone has done their CIBTEC Waxing and CIBTEC Manicure & Pedicure exams yet and if you would have any help with what has come up this year on the paper or if anyone has done these exams last year and would have any questions that i could go over? My exams are at the end of May in Ireland and there doesn't seem to be many on this site from here.
Really struggling at the moment :o, so any little bit of help would be great!!!!:)...
I did my CIBTEC Skin Treatments last year and got great help on this site, so I know you won't let me down!!!

CIBTAC waxing exam
Hi,
I had my waxing CIBTAC exam today in Dublin, it is a part time course so im not sure if its the same as the full time course, i taught they were done on the same day but, the theory part i found was quite difficult we had no practice exam papers like this at all, their is so many choices of answer options to choose from so it was a bit confusing, i can't remember alot of the questions but here are a few parts of them that i do, i will try remember when my brain is working better its been a long day!!
The ingredients of Depilitary CREAM .... i said ALKALI not sure if its correct so check there was 3 other possible answers but to choose only 1.
Assessing the client for wax treatment e.g sensitivity of skin,hair growth and two other answer options
Ingedients in warm wax Resin is the main one but wasn't an option beeswax was an option and that was my answer
The layers of the Epidermis this was a tricky one you need to know these and what they do as the question was worded badly and not worded as in the beauty book...had 5 choices as an answer and only 4 layers Stratum Lucidum wasn't on it but the other 4 were.
Again cant remember but question on Steralisation and answer is the AutoClave my tutor told me this
Question on Diseases and disorders can't remember question but answer options were Impitigo and Psorisis know about these
Another one was about the Cortex, Cuticle & Madulla know exactly what they do the answers where there you had to put the option in the ans box.
Cant think of anything else at the moment...
The practical went really well for me examiner asked one question and it was about contraindications to waxing a leg she asked other girls about other contraindications and asked two other girls about steralisation and hygiene. she asked one girl what the contraindication to a bikini wax would be...

I finished my cibtac at the end of april. The quesions weren't too bad but we did get a lot on ingredients which i wasnt expecting and nail diseases and disorders!!! Hope this helps you out and best of luck!!!
