OK, I have taken another look. And I am still laughing, sorry, V. :011: 😮

RxXx

(Is that the distant sound of cranking I hear. :p)

You'd deny it if one landed in the back yard!

... then again, one did .... 🙂 I know you'll point to the fact that it was a red plastic construction which had been burnt in the air before coming down. But who's to say what the craft are made of? And anyway, I call it a "crash"! 😉

The question asked this morning on radio 4...... "why are there more Alien sightings in Middle class American areas that anywhere else?"

That's uninformed, unscientific balderdash for a start. Even so far back as the 1960s, in research by people such as Jacques Vallee, it was established that sightings and encounters (not just of lights in the night sky but of clear craft of non-human construction) have been seen:

- equally and in similar ways cross-culturally and in every nation looked at;

- equally and in similar ways by people of all professions, ages, genders, and races, including air traffic controllers, policemen, military personnel, airline pilots, and the military pilots who in various nations have at times been scrambled to try to get near to UFOs observed simultaneously on both radar and visually;

- equally, in every nation, though non-human craft have indeed been encountered in the day, hundreds of times, a statistical study of the number of sightings over the 24 hours, as compared to the number of people awake at the time to observe them, strongly suggests that as a global commonality, from Russia to the USA, from India to South America, there's a high peak of UFO activity around 1.00 am to 4.00 am. Make of that what we will - it's statistically valid. (Active when least likely to be seen...?)

Sorry I couldnt listen anymore for laughing especially after watching those poor quality clips.

They are indeed poor quality.

The UFO phenomenon as a whole is far larger and exists in every nation, has caused admitted and open military consternation in many nations, and includes cases involving many multiple witnesses of non-human craft, sometimes combined with radar verification, and sometimes including military intervention.

I responded to the posts since they were there, but, yes, it's hard to get good footage of these things. Yet the phenomenon as a whole is vast. Evidently you just don't know the subject and its history, or all the evidence.

BTW, I used to overlay video for simulators and there's nothing there that looks real apart from the chinese sky lanterns which are commonly mistaken for UFOs except in china..

There have indeed, in the UK recently, been sky lanterns mistaken for UFOs. In the footage we see however above, the lights .... er, maneuvre into a perfect wedge or triangle of quite a large number of objects, then break up again. It's nonesense to think that lanterns blown by the wind could do that.

Well after seeing the 'triangle' video's it makes what I saw on New Year's Eve in Essex ( lights forming a triangle as the moved across the sky) even more exciting!!

Jacques Vallee

I just realised how often I cite the name of Jacques Vallee when the topic of UFOs comes up. As an aside aspect to the thread, allow me to give a link about him, as he's my type of researcher. He was the first civilian to become scientific in the investigation of this phenomenon.

Wikipedia on Vallee, including a list of his books on UFOs which I highly recommend. He's not a "true believer" but utterly scientific and objective (unlike the skeptics and the believers):
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jacques_Vallee

You'll note his credentials:
"In mainstream science, Vallee is notable for co-developing the first computerized mapping of Mars for NASA, and for his work at SRI International in creating ARPANET, a precursor to the modern Internet."

And also how he became interested in UFOs:
"In May 1955, Vallée first sighted an unidentified flying object over his Pontoise home. Six years later in 1961, while working on the staff of the French Space Committee, Vallée witnessed the destruction of the tracking tapes of unknown objects orbiting the earth. [My italics - V.] These events contributed to Vallée's long-standing interest in the UFO phenomenon."

Try Vallee's books out. 🙂 I especially recommend his more recent trilogy of books in English: Dimensions, Confrontations, and Revelations. In this trilogy of books, written closely together after years since his previous writing on the topic, Vallee approaches the same subject of UFOs from three quite different angles. They can be read individually or together.

Oh V, sometimes belief can be the unmaking of us. This red plastic construction that had burnt up on entry into my back garden was a fiver from Tesco, bought November 4th. But there's no telling some. :p:p:p

Anyway, I will leave this discussion of little green men and their dodgy model aircraft to you and the believers in this thread. I am getting out of here before I get a real big Venetian thwack for being so insolent!:007:

Love & interstellar light all,
