RE: Hubble Space Telescope
Wow -- I just took a peek at a website that describes what's in the book! So, perhaps the "Trilateral Commission" isn't such a far-fetched paranoid idea after all? Anyhow, didn't have a clue about the Rhodes stuff .. if the book were not so pricey, I've got a 12-hour plane trip coming up and I'd work on it in air.
Reminds me of the saying, just because you're paranoid doesn't mean it isn't true.
I do have a loverly story from an Aussie friend of mine who met a Tory ex-minister of something in the pub in a club in London some years back. My friend asked why the UK gov .. oops, I'm supposed to caps that ... G..ov't ... decided to not attempt to renew the 99-year lease on Hong Kong. My Aussie friend, who was actually born in Taunton reports, in impeccable tones, that the gentleman said, "Force majeure, my dear fellow, force majeure!"
I'm afraid I have now exhausted my entire knowledge of British politics ... to your and everyone's relief, I'm sure!!!! [sm=tongue.gif]
Perhaps, to get back to topic, someone could have your adorable Mr. Blair suggest (in public) to our Mr. Bush that the world really admires the US Space program and we need another space telescope?
😉
The irony is, that young person you met will probably someday be able to afford extraterrestrial travel for himself!
RE: Hubble Space Telescope
Giles - what is your maths like? 😀 😀
perhaps with the thread on levitating frogs with magnetic forces, we are on the verge of the release of antigravity drive, retro'd from research on crashed saucers, and making Hubble redundant?? will tell you after I have been to the WDDTY UFO symposium which sounds soooo interesting!

RE: Hubble Space Telescope
It's off-thread and nothing to do with Hubble (!), but anyway:

No! You must have had the idea that it is a paranoid invention? No, it's a definite and official organisation, just like the Bilderbergers, the Council on Foreign Relations, etc. But it's the 'non-open' power elites such as the Rhodes Group as in Quigley's book, and your own Skull and Bones (which Bush, Bush Snr., and Kerry all are members of) which create these as fronts. But this IS another thread...;)
RE: Hubble Space Telescope
Venetian - we are well into Illuminati stuff here - bring on David Icke. I would just like to know - was the Queen Mum a Lizzie? 😉

RE: Hubble Space Telescope
Icke gives conspiriology a bad name. There's a real and serious side to it. Put 'skull and bones' into a search engine. Yours truly was part of bringing their reality out. 😉
Now, the telescope!
Edit to add: No, it's the Queen who, from her given name, I guess is a Lizzie. 😉
