Written by my daughter who really made me take a deep breath when I read this

W.W.II

We will remember.

We will remember him,

As he ran past the bullets of death.

And as the bombs came down as fast as rain,

As he ran through the bodies as red as poppies and broken.

He stopped, forgetting about the war and the man and stared at the body…

He stared at the body as the screams and shouts echoed around him.

It was his brother, his heart broke into 1 million pieces.

As he stood there the man saw him and brought out his guilty gun.

It all happened so fast the shot, the drop and the death.

The man was a murderer, everyone was…

We will remember awful, horrifying moments like these.

We will remember them,

FOREVER!

Hi Nawal

This is astonishing - the insight is immensely perceptive and moving. It would be considered good by someone much older. Congratulations to Tamsin.

Have you thought of putting it into some poetry competitions? Such talent should be encouraged.

Thank you so much for your comments xxxx

To be honest I wouldnt know where to start with the poetry competition!

She is amazing with her perception - though thats me being proud mama too to be sure, I have no doubt at all she would make a great journalist - she constantly asks questions and the questions she asks at times are very thought provoking and her ability to get people to talk......... crazy!

Tamzin's poem is fantastic and worthy of being published.

Have a look here:

All my Family were talented writers, I had a couple of poems published in the 90's.

Best of luck.
