Wow, Jobelle, these are really lovely. I tend to dislike hot colours, as I often find them aggressive and overwhelming.
But your oils feel so warming, energising & comforting. Just luscious!
The wax technique is intriguing - and what amazing results! So inviting to the imagination, so rich & mysterious. And surprisingly delicate ... fronds and people in a misty, warm rain forest.
I bet it's a gorgeously messy, perfumed experience doing them!
Blessings & best wishes.
Thank you all for your kind comments.
Starshower, if you like the wax you will love the texture, I often find it a pity when they are framed and behind glass as they are lovely to touch and feel - of course too much touching and feeling them will damage them, hense the glass. I also try to achieve lots of texture with my oils, the mountains beneath are so thick you can feel the mountains.
On my way to our local art centre this morning with 2 paintings that will hang in an exhibition for the next month. All positive energy sent to them that they find their rightfull owners will be much appreciated! 😀 The feeling of walking into an exhibition and seeing a red spot on a painting puts the biggest grin on my face, even if it's not my painting!
These are the two - I have no photos of them in their framed version....
Thanks for looking!
Wow, you are rather good at this aren't you!;)
I love Nebula and the Forest People. They are amazing, I'm sure any you sell will have pride of place in people's homes.:)
Hi Jo
I get this feeling of movement with your picture of the sea, its almost like the waves are really moving. Not many artists can convey that feeling - you've certainly got it gal.
Good luck with the exhibition.

Oh Binah, hope you're not feeling seasick - or did you start celebrating Friday early!
Must say, I love the way the sea moves, specially on wild stormy days. I can just camp out and watch it for hours (with a glass of wine, of course, makes it move better!). At least I know that (some?) others see what I try to portray. Big hugs for both you and Treacle.
The official opening is next week Friday and will you believe, I have booked tickets for a show in the Glasgow Jazz festival for that night! Will just have to pop in over the weekend to make sure they got a nice space and were not hung in a dark corner!
See you both around the pages over the weekend!
