Came across this site- "Wool and the gang"- and it has a selection of short videos to teach the basics of knitting, as well as different types of knitting stitches

I have only ever been able to knit anything that is no more than three or four rows deep as after that its too tight to get off the needles - so I might look for some wool and needles in a charity shop and give it a go!
Well, staying in knitting is the new going out, everyone knows that! 🙂
