In 2003 I experienced Oneness with God - I had never been spiritual before this, only seeing the value of Love above all else.
Never meditated or anything and had read about 10 pages of the bible deciding there was something but i didnt know what - although God is Love really sung to me
Idid go to Glastonbury here and there to smile at the wonderfull costumes people wore - it all seemed a bit "woowoo" to me 🙂
At the time I would have said I experienced Oneness with Love infinity - undescribable -as the word God seemed to relate to religion which kept talking about fear and the like - and that just didnt ring true as was proved to me.
About a year later a lifelong friend who I had tried to explain what I had experienced gave me this book and in it I found what I had experienced in words - see chapter "The Forgotton Song" although the whole book rings true - to read what I couldnt describe was "complete confirmation"

In my book The Forgotton Song begins on page 415
On Page 416 about halfway down the page it begins
"Listen - perhaps you catch a hint .............................. "
The most profound part is on page 417 and I will type it in full
"Beyond the body, beyond the sun and the stars, past everything you see and yet somehow familliar, is an arc of golden light that stretches as you look onto the great and shining circle. And all of the circle fills with light before your eyes. The edges of the circle dissapear, and what is in it is no longer contained at all. The light expands and covers everything, extending to infinity forever shining and with no limit anywhere. Within it everything is joined in perfect continuity. Nor is it possible to imagine that anything could be outside, for there is nowhere that this light is not.
This is the vision of the Son of God, whom you know well. Here is the sight of him who knows his father. Here is the memory of what you are; a part of this, with all of it within, and joined to all as surely as all is joined in you. Accept the vision that can show you this, and not the body. You know the ancient song, and know it well. Nothing will ever be as dear to you as is this ancient hymn the Son of God sings to his father still.
And now the blind can see, for that same song they sing in honour of thier Creator gives praise tothemas well. The blindness that they made will not withstand the memory of this song. And they will look upon the vision of the Son of God, remembering who he is they sing of. What is a miracle but this remembering? And who is there in whom this memory lies not? The light in one awakens it in all. And when you see it in your brother, you are remembering for everyone."
Exactly the way i experienced it and every word is deeper than just the word it appears to be - It is so profound to mein that only theONE who knows it and has experienced it could write it in this way
To be honest the whole of ACIM is like this to me - but this was mind blowing and yet so natural it was a "o yeah moment" - YET so beyond words yet so natural
