Hi Star,
If I think back to my first week, you've done well and you've got every reason to be proud of yourself.
Don't let anyone put you down, this business is hard to get going and client bases build with time and not overnight. The expectations put on you were far too harsh and unreasonable.
Sending you hugs,
Myarka.
Poor you. If this is the way the landlord behaves then maybe you are, no definately you are better off in another venue. Bad vibes and all that. Clear your stuff, and have a think where else you can work from, work mobile maybe? until you get a place set up. I am a great believer in walking through the doors that open for you and just move on from those that do not. Do not have anger about it all because it is unproductive. You will make a wonderful therapist, this is just a blipp, hang on in there kid.
When i first started i had a room in a hairdressing salon, i knew it was not perfect because of the noise, hairdryers etc, talking. However then a room became available where iwanted to be without me even looking for it, so it was meant to be. Doors will open for you when the time is right. Be positive and dream big and think of what you want and it will with time and perseverance occur. GOOD LUCK!
Star, I'm sorry to hear this - your landlord should not have shouted at you today no matter what the arrangement is. :nono:
As for your husband - maybe he was being protective and trying to help (by his way of it), but again shouting at you to go and get a job is not helpful either. 🙁
I think you've done well so far - I remember reading your post about starting out and then getting premises - I remember your enthusiasm. Don't let your enthusiasm wane just because of the reaction you've received today.
I'm not sure what to suggest although I was in a similar situation last year with my other half who actually went as far as to speak to someone about a job for me which I did not want nor was prepared to even consider. A blazing row ensued - after me calmly trying to explain my feelings first - but he just didn't get it - and still doesn't it would seem! The atmosphere in the house was horrendous for more than a week I remember and I reached the point where I thought ' I just can't be bothered with this anymore!'
You need the support and comfort of someone who either understands or can be impartial today - I hope there is someone there for you.
Setting up in our kind of 'trade' is difficult and takes time to build up a client base, so what you've done so far is fantastic I think - and brave.
Keep believing in yourself and in what you do. And yes, do the tapping. Its very effective.
Sending you some comfort, strength and healing and hope the situation resolves in the best way for you.
Keep us posted! x
Hi all, well I have calmed down a little and am tapping away on the events,I have moved my stuff out.
I have a home business that is going nowhere so I am going to put all my positiveness into this and try to get it off the ground,Ive had more customers at home than in this large town.
The agreement with the landlord was the rent equivilant of one customer per day and he said he would give me a chance for the first month which I thought was reasonable. His wife has the beauty salon. When I went to collect my stuff all my posters etc. were sitting on the bed and they just ignored me.I got so stressed out the rash that had gone is back and Im back to the doctors this afternoon.
Caroline I am going to tap on the abundance tonight and try to be positive,I keep saying that there is a reason for this but .what is it?'.
Anyhow I SO appreciate all the posts it makes me feel so much better,as for my husband we are not speaking at moment,I know where he is coming from but there are no jobs out there and this is what I want to do ,my therapies.
OMG that's awful, I'm really sorry to hear how they have treated you. I wish you all the best for the future and I am sure you will get more clients soon. Don't let them pull you down, you are fab and doing well xxxxxxxxxx
