Update, is that last night her hemoglobin fell so low they gave her a transfusion. She became unresponsive and has been in a coma and on a respirator ever since. The family (she has 6 or 7 daughters, and then Doug, my son in law is her only son, last child -- born on Christmas day, and her husband who has Altzheimers or something like that) is all at the hospital she is in, on a death watch.
My friend Marci imparted to me just last night that when her mother died, she felt orphaned. I don't care what situation we are in, how old, or anything -- it is such a loss.
Please, offer what you can. I'm mindful of all who have this in their lives right now. Thanks, J
So sorry to read this Jen. Sending this poor lady lots of love and Reiki energy for her highest good. Love too to all her family at this sad time.

So sorry to hear of this Reikiangel. My thoughts are with your son-in-law and your family.
I'm so glad this lady has her family around her as I'm certain on some level she will know they are there. Its important for them too and will help in the grieving process.
I understand completely how your friend felt when her mother died. I too felt orphaned when my mum died in 1999 (my dad died in 1990) and still do to some extent. I remember thinking I had suddenly become the 'top tier' as it were and as the oldest child also the matriarch of the family.
With love and best wishes.
