Oh my friends, please don't think I'm selfish. I am so tired I forgot my dearest little love, my Maija. She is having surgery on August 15 at 8 am my time, back up 5 hours for your time --
She was born with something called "tetrology of Fallow" phoenetically spelled out. On top of that, she had other heart defects too, so that all together at the ripe old age of 1 month, her little ribcage was split open and she underwent multiple open heart surgeries. My grandaughter is now 7, thanks to these lifesaving efforts.
But her life hasn't been easy, although she was blessed with a sassy nature and fight for life instinct. She's also endured many surgeries for her ears.
Tomorrow they are attempting to fix a large hole in her eardrum, and they have to remove the bone you feel outside your ear -- it's been constantly infected causing her to be ill, well, always as well as nearly deaf now too.
Please, she's so naughty and bright -- she speaks French, plays the violin, and is about as big as a minute. If you ask, this grandma will gladly send you pictures to your email addy.
Send a prayer, a thought, healing to my angel, Little Miss Naughty as I call her. My hope is that her hearing is restored to some extent and she is no longer constantly ill with ear infections and so on.
