Hiya everyone
Thank you all for the lovely thoughts and prayers. The day went beautifully. The museum gave us all a good ride on the steam train, it felt very nostalgic and I actually felt my dad's presence with us. We then went to the place to scatter his ashes, strange as it may seem but we were not crying with grief, but with laughter. In the middle of the scattering, I heard something heavy drop from the urn, I screamed and begged the others to tell me what it was as I didn't dare look. Anyhow it turned out to be a stone ID number, I thought it was a bone or something and when I said this out loud everyone just burst out laughing. My dad's final words were, "Don't be sad!" and we weren't. Afterwards, my mum, sister and I went out together.....something that we haven't done for.....well forever.
CR.....we talked about going on a mini cruise to Amsterdam to scatter dad's ashes but we wanted someplace we can go and sit to remember him. I believe we found the perfect spot.
