Not been on as Mum admitted urgently to Intensive Care on Thurs & had to take dtr out of school & drive her & hubby to Scotland. Mum has got Guillain Barre Syndrome - basically body fights itself. Was moved to HighDependancy yesterday so a bit og Good (?) news.
Will think more about replies later - too busy 'coping' just now.Yx
Oh my goodness, such a terrible thing, I hope you can have some peace of mind soon Yvonne - a friends Aunt got this when she was about 63 and she did eventually get better, it was quite a long haul to be sure. I do remember one thing she liked very much and that was gentle massage, everywhere. She is truly fighting fit now. I send you, Betty and Joe love, energy and good wishes. Ah hope husbands leg improving as well.

Not so good-hospital thinks Mum has now had a mini-stroke- but hard to tell exactly due to th GB. She is unable to swallow/close her eyes as muscles too weak.
Dad is very distressed-esp as got a call during Weds/Thurs night to go urgently to the hospital.
Going up to Scotland after Julia finishes school today-she will have to miss school tomorrow.
Peter(my husband) still not walking well but can at least drive now which is a relief as I'm so tired I'm a bit of a liability behind the wheel.
It's just so awful that as we were coming to terms with the GB this has now happened.

Just don't know what to say, you must be stressed as hell. Wish there was something I could do. is there? just let me know, anything.
Strange the way you are describing things, our granddaughters other nana is going through a similar awful experience, she was found by my son and granddaughter, they had to get the police to break the door down, poor soul must have lain there for two days, hospital think it is a stroke.
Anyway, you have enough to think about with your own problems, but remember people are here for you if needed, emotionally and if at all possible, practically.
