Hi my name is Gabriel and I'm a bass player and guitarist from the UK. I love music intensely but I recently had my second ear infection and though the infection is now gone, I've found out that I now have a perforated eardrum (probably from using Q-tips). I was told it'll heal in about a month but I have many band issues to attend to (including the biggest gig of my life coming up) and a lot of music to write in that time so I'd like my ear to heal as fast and as completely as possible. Though I've been learning about the flow of energy and the mind's effect on the body I'm still a beginner and I'd be very grateful if somebody could send some healing energy my way.
Thank you,
Gabriel
Hi Gabriel
Healing energy on it's way to you.
Make sure you look after yourself and your immune system, eat well, drink enough water and get enough sleep.
Love your ears and tell them so all the time and pay attention to what you are listening to or hearing - is there anything you are hearing that is out of tune with you ? If so then sort it out and seek out sounds and words that you love - the right ones for you.
all my love

Hi Gabriel
Love, Light and Healing on its way to you. Ear infections are not nice!
I would strongly suspect intolerance to dairy foods (milk, cheese, yoghurt, etc) is a likely cause of your problem, reducing the body's ability to fight infection in the ear, nose, throat and lung regions. Try avoiding it for a couple of weeks and see how things go. If it improves greatly, then keep off them for 6 months. it might just turn things round for you.
I'd also suggest you could do with a good multivitamin/multimineral (not from chemist or supermarket but from a healthfood store that contains 100mg each of the B vits, plus Vitamin C with zinc taken three times a day for a month, and then reduced to daily. Both of these are vital for immune function, but there are heaps of other nutrients you get from wholefoods - fresh fruit and vegetables, wholegrain pasta, rice, bread, and low-fat meat and oily fish which you need too. Avoid junk foods and fizzy drinks like the plague - they will deplete your body of nutrients and that is now showing up as ear infections.
Your love of music may be the key to you looking at your eating habits and seeing where you can improve them!
Thanks so much for the good advice I'll be sure to watch my diet and eat healthier. I'm drinking soy milk all the time and I hardly have cheese or anything so I doubt it's something to do with dairy products.
Poor you, I know from experience how unpleasant this can be. You may have many symptoms from dizziness, to funny noises in your ears. A ruptured ear drum can take up to three months to heal. You need to make sure that you do not get any water in your ears, as this can increase the risk of infection. Try not to go swimming and in the shower make sure you place some cottonwool in your ear before you shower to reduce the risk of water entering.
Unfortunately you will have some deafness that will not be resolved until the drum heals. As others have said to heal you need to make sure you drink plenty, up to 2 litres a day (water or squash), eat healthily, protien to allow healing and the cells to grow, meat fish eggs, cheese and nuts. Also rest plenty. Keep your outer ear clean but definately NO using cotton buds or anything inside your ear, even if it itches, which it may well do. Change your pillow case more than normal to prevent any infection, there is no barrier for it to prevent it any infection reaching further into your ear now so you have to be careful.
Hope it heals soon and your music goes well.
