Sending reiki to all involved, it was so sad to hear about this tragedy, just shows yet again how vulnerable we are on Mother Earth xx

I was at home the day this happened and horribly transfixed by the news footage all day. So devastating, and so soon after Christchurch, in which I had a friend involved (he was physically unhurt but went through a terrible time). What with all the terrible unrest too just now, and the immense poverty I have personally witnessed recently in Africa, it feels like a very scary world at the moment. Along with all of the other troubled areas, Japan and it's people in particular have been in my thoughts much of the time, and I wish them all the positivity I can.

Helping Japan through prayer

Our prayers are so needed right now!

When faced with terrible catastrophes like the triple one that has hit Japan (and not forgetting Christchurch, or the shockwaves across the Middle East that also need our prayers) it’s tempting to feel, “What can I do, what difference could my prayers possibly make?”

I love this little poem that Mary Baker Eddy quoted in an article:

"What if the little rain should say,
'So small a drop as I
Can ne'er refresh a drooping earth,
I'll tarry in the sky.'"

I know from all the physical healings I’ve had, that understanding, scientific prayer is effective. It can make a difference. I know from when I was flying, how prayer could make all the difference to weather. I’ve experienced fog pull back to let us in and out of a fog-bound airport (we were the only plane to get in or out), I’ve known protection from severe weather, have experienced ripple-less calm where all other aircraft minutes in front of us, at the same height and position were experiencing such severe turbulence that their pilots could not read their instruments. I’ve seen angry, black thunderstorm clouds simply dissipate before my eyes, when I have truly understood that God (the divine Principle, Love) is in control.

Sure, mankind has a long long way to go in spiritual growth before we can prevent earthquakes (or tsunamis) but I absolutely know that this will come. When we truly understand that all is thought and we rise to a more divine consciousness, then these terrible things will become less.

Right now as I write, Japan is facing, on top of all the earthquake and tsunami devastation, the possibility of a nuclear leak or melt down. Our prayers are so needed!

Talking about the belief that life and inteligence are in matter, Mary Baker Eddy writes:
[COLOR="Blue"]
These false beliefs will disappear, when the radiation of Spirit destroys forever all belief in intelligent matter. Then will the new heaven and new earth appear, for the former things will have passed away. (SSH 556)

Someone at a conference I was at recently, said that Jesus did not still the storm – he invited those around him into his peace. I’ve found that so uplifting and thought-provoking. He never experienced the storm because it could never enter a consciousness filled with the All-ness of God, good. That was how he was able to sleep through one storm at sea and that was how he was able to walk over the turbulent waves. Jesus knew he lived in the Kingdom of Heaven, he knew that right where men believe they are the helpless victims of chance, right there is safety, permanence and guidance. Jesus knew he was spiritual and he walked over the waves, confident that he was always upheld by Spirit. Peter doubted – and sank.

Here are a couple of articles I’ve found helpful during the past couple of days:

Love and peace,

Judy

I was pleased to hear that a friend of mine who is temporarily living in Japan was on the edge of the disaster area and managed to get one of the very few trains that were running up to her boyfriends house a safe distance up the coast!
