Can I ask all you lovely people out there to send healing, positive thoughts, prayer to a friend of mine please? For anyone who needs permission first, I have asked her permission and she has said yes please, she needs all the help she can get.
S has, after numerous visits to the GP, finally found a GP who didn't brush her off. In a very short space of time she has been diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer. She has a 15cm tumour on one ovary, cancer around the abdominal cavity and also in the lymph glands. She is soon to start an aggressive course of chemotherapy, followed by surgery, followed by another course of chemotherapy.
She's been told without the chemo her life expectancy is 12-18 months, with it 5 years - she says sod that, I'm going for 10 years! And if anyone can, this lovely, bubbly, giving woman can. However despite the brave words, she is naturally very scared.
And if it's not too much trouble, could you also send healing to her mother, husband and daughter please, they're all putting on the brave faces but truth be told we're all reeling from the shock of the diagnosis.
