For my hubby

The last 24 hours have turned from - ok you'll be ok on Monday morning at 2.30 am to major surgery on both his hand at 8 pm Monday night when he didnt returned to the ward until 11.30 pm:(

At 2.30 am our neighbours cat decided to come into our house (via the catflap) and have a fight with our very laid back cat. My hubby tried to stop the fight and in turn got his hands punchered and scratched. After mopping up the mess and steming the flow of blood, we decided to settle down and take a trip to the GP's nurse first thing this morning. At 7 am after a look at his hands we decided that AE Dept was the best destination. So off we went, well to cut a long story short. He had major surgery on both his hands to get rid of the infections and clean out some of the wounds. He is also scheduled for surgery on Wednesday to clean out the same wounds again and check for any further infection:(

I've not long got home, I left him in the hospital with his arms/hands in 'vertical splints' bound up in pressure bandages to stop the swelling. He cant even scratch his nose:( Let alone do anything else:(

Any positive thoughts and whatever anyone feels they can do will be accepted with open arms and gratitude.
